Exercising From Your Home



Many gyms are currently closed at the moment, making working out at home even more popular. Working out is extremely good for your body and can help with many things like improving your sleep, helping you lose weight, and just feeling a better you. There are many things you can do at home to get active, from online classes to simply going for a run outside. Many of which you can do with your friends and family members who you live with. Below are four different exercises that you could do from home.



Running

Running is one of the easiest things you can do and requires very little equipment - all you need is a pair of trainers. If you are unfit, take it easy and start by running and walking. You could consider doing a couch to 5k as a challenge to get you motivated to do it. If you have a good fitness level, then look at running further distances. There are many apps that you can use to track your distance and record how well you are doing.

Online Classes

After a few searches on Youtube, you will discover a whole plethora of exercise classes that you can do in the comfort of your own home. No matter your interest there is something for everyone. If you enjoy something more intense you could look at doing a HIIT workout, or if you want something less intense a yoga class or pilates. On Youtube all the videos are free but if you enjoy them and want more content from a certain platform you can always see if they have a paid platform that you can use.
 
Rope Jumping

Rope jumping is something you most likely did when you were younger! You’ll be surprised at how much it works you out and improves your coordination. The best things about rope jumping are that you need minimal equipment and it can be done in your front room or garden if you want to be outside.
 
Walking Up and Down Your Stairs

Do you have a staircase within your property? If you do then try running up it and back down several times. After a few rounds of doing that you’ll soon feel the burn. Staircases are great for getting some exercise. If you don’t fancy running you can always walk up and down them as you’ll still be getting a workout. If you live in an apartment, then you may find you have many steps to walk up and get active.

As well as exercising and looking after your physical health, it is important you make sure you are looking after your medical health as well.
