The Board Game Invented By 10 Year Old Cybele McKenzie, Candy Collections Is A Blast For The Whole Family!

The pandemic was full of so many surprises. Not all of it was bad. We all had more time than ever before to spend with our families and interact in ways that we haven't been able to. It brought out creativity that we actually had time to act on. So, this 10 year old girl, Cybele McKenzie, came up with a game that was so much fun for her and her own family that they made all of the magic happen to make it a real board game for everyone to be able to play.

The name of the game is Candy Collections. It's a fun family game geared towards all family members 5+. The game pieces and instructions are fun and exciting. The bright colors and the easy-to-follow game board makes it a win-win for everyone.

What's in the box?

The game comes with everything needed to play. You don't need to purchase any additional items, there are no expansions, it's a straightforward game with all hands in the candy jar!

When you open the box you can expect:

1 Game Board
1 Dice
6 Player Meeples
21 Super Cards
21 Mystery Cards
35 Candy Tokens
1 Rule Sheet

Game Set-Up

Setting up Candy Collections is easy enough that kids can play unguided. All of the components have matching spaces on the board. The backs of the cards all match with corresponding spaces.

Every player picks their meeble to represent them on the game board. Rolling the dice gives you the number of spaces to take on the board. Once you have landed all you need to do is follow the directions on your last landing space. If you are drawing a card, the card will let you know what actions to take. Keep an eye out for the shortcut to bring you to the other side of the board. Check out her "I Win" face!

Who can play Candy Collection?

The whole family 5+ would love to play Candy Collection. Meet the family- Cool Kyle, Silly Sarah, Excited Emma, Happy Hanna, Nice Noah, and Shy Steven. These little buddies will help you make your mad dash around the board to collect all of the candy that you can, before everyone else!!  And, watch out for those veggies hiding in the cards!

I played the game with my niece, she had a blast and of course, she won. I told her it was only because I actually like my veggies but she knew she just won because she won HA she's too smart!! Each game only lasts about 15-20 minutes. I like that it's a quick game with so much to do from the beginning to the end. It keeps the anticipation going for each player's moves. It doesn't leave room for boredom and wandering around. Believe me, it's no fun when kids are playing games and one kid gets bored and starts wandering around the house and everyone has to wait for their next turn.

Family Owned Comic Book- Kindle Edition
