Bluebee Pals Leo the Lion Review

How do you know when your child is ready for a smart device like a tablet, laptop, or phone? That is a HUGE controversy in our house. My oldest daughter didn't get a phone or any major electronics until she was 11. Our youngest daughter got her first device at 8.

For us, it wasn't so much the responsibility aspect of it. They are both very responsible and care for their products with respect and stay within their guidelines we set for them. Abby didn't have to wait to get hers because of maturity, she got it because of need. She was staying at friends houses, I worked a lot, we needed to have communication.

Cassie didn't get hers because of responsibility or maturity either. By the time Cassie got to that age, everything was booming into technology. When Abby was Cassie's age, smartphones were mainly for working people, not kids. It is absolutely amazing to me that when I was their age, call waiting was new!

Nowadays, it's super common for 3 and 4-year-olds to have smart devices, phones, and you name it. Not to mention, it's normal. 10 years ago, I would have had so many things to say about a toddler playing with a device of any kind.

Education is advancing so fast now. Where I was learning how to do typing with my home keys as an elective class in high school, my kids were taught computer basics in 2nd grade. My 3-year-old niece already knows which icon to push for her play app. This is all so amazing to me.

I am pro-education. I am so happy the kids are learning more. I was lucky enough to work with an amazing company, Bluebee Pals . I picked out Leo the Lion, there are six pals to choose from in the Bluebee Pals Shop. It was so hard to choose which one to review, they are all so cute!!

  • Hudson The Puppy
  • Leo the Lion
  • Lily The Lamb
  • Parker the Monkey
  • Riley The Zebra
  • Sammy The Bear

As soon as I opened the package, I was more than impressed. I flipped the switch to on and he said:
My Name is Bluebee, please pair and connect me using the Bluetooth located on your device.- Connection Succeeded.
Yes, so you know and it is confirmed, Mind Blown!!

This super soft plush lion is instructing me on how to get him to talk to me. Just so you know the age range on this guy is 3-8 but I think he  is my new BFF.

Instantly, the Bluebee Pals came up on my Bluetooth list, it was very easy to connect. I was typing while I was going through the process of setting it all up and during the wait for me to get myself ready, he says reminders. "No one is here, Please try again".

I installed the iStoryBooks App and was instantly listening to Leo read me stories. This is amazing. The volume is controlled by the device so there is no digging for buttons or opening up is back and performing surgery to operate this guy. This is by far the coolest Bluetooth toy I have reviewed to this point.

He was reading story's with the words at the bottom and the pages turned on their own and he kept up with the pages, it was really compared to some other reading dolls that only gave so much time to get to the next page

I installed Spotify and he was singing us some amazing ballads from way back in the day. This little guy surely has a voice!! He sang us songs from the Hair Band Era. He is a hard rocker!! Don't let the soft fur and flowing mane fool you.

I also installed ABC Mouse to see how well he helps with educational apps. This is just an all the way around amazing learning tool.

Calling my child through Leo is going to be awesome. We called it during the testing and it's just so fun. The on off is in his ear it's so easy to access.

There were no kids taking part in the setup and getting this guy ready. We wanted to be familiar with him and how he works so there wouldn't be any surprises when we gift him. Aron and I sat here and played with him seeing how well he works for over 2 hours, having a blast at all of the awesome ballads he can sing.

What makes this so great is that its' Bluetooth, not wifi. So, as long as we can Bluetooth him to the device, there is no lapse in connection to him. Bluebee Pals are compatible with so many apps and everything with a Bluetooth connection.

Out of 5 stars, I would give this 10! This is an amazing learning tool and companion for a child. The age range on the Bluebee Pals is 3-8, I would recommend it for all ages 3 and up. He is interactive, entertaining, super soft, and absolutely adorable.

The price in these guys is very reasonable. $64.95 and they are available at BluebeePals.com, Amazon, Target, and Walmart. These are going to be a great Gift idea this year.
