How To Pack Your Gym Bag In 6 Easy Steps

This is a sponsored post brought to you by Bodyarmor, written by Amy & Aron's Real Life Reviews.

Hydration is always so important. Especially when you are out there in the summer heat doing all of the things that you love. We have such a busy schedule with all of the kid's sports and practices it's really hard to keep up. We took a poll with all of the kids to pack the perfect gym bag and this is what we came up with.

#1 Shoes

Shoes are so important in every workout. Staying comfortable and balanced is key to a successful workout or practice in any sport.

#2 Drinks

Drinks are equally as important. You have got to stay hydrated in any sport or activity. We just got some awesome stuff from BODYARMOR that is a great alternative to other outdated sports drinks. BODYARMOR Sports Drink is a great choice before, during, and after every workout or practice.

BODYARMOR contains natural flavors and sweeteners, potassium-packed electrolytes, coconut water, vitamins and no colors from artificial sources. It comes in 12 flavors including Strawberry Banana, Orange Mango, Lemonade, Fruit Punch, Tropical Punch, Blackout Berry, Mixed Berry, Grape, Pineapple Coconut, Watermelon Strawberry, Knockout Punch and Octagon Orange.
Octagon Orange is the newest flavor to the family, designed specifically for the brand’s partnership with the UFC. BODYARMOR is now the “Official Sports Drink of the UFC.”
Right now you can get some really great savings on BODYARMOR Sports Drinks at Walgreens locations nationwide. Click HERE to receive $1.00 off on TWO (2) Bottles of BODYARMOR Sports Drink or BODYARMOR LYTE Sports Drink (16oz Only).

BODYARMOR LYTE has all the same nutrients as BODYARMOR Sports Drink but is low-calorie and low in sugar.  It has only 20 calories and 3 grams of sugar per serving.  It is naturally flavored and sweetened (with pure cane sugar, stevia, and erythritol), includes potassium-packed electrolytes, coconut water, and vitamins, and has no colors from artificial sources. The brand currently has four flavors of BODYARMOR LYTE – Peach Mango, Cherry Berry, Orange Citrus, Blueberry Pomegranate. I love being able to offer these to my family

#3 Clothing

Clothing is something that is on a personal level. As a whole, we have a mixed vote. Some of the family likes snug fitting clothes like yoga pants and tops so it doesn't get in the way. The others like loose fitting clothes so there is no binding.

Either way, your bag is your bag. Put an outfit in there that you will like wearing, there is no wrong way to get better at what you are doing. Plus, bring two pairs of clean socks. No idea why that's what I tell them but it's always two extra pairs.

#4 Music/headphones/earbuds

Music can be very driving and inspiring. It's a nice way to get your blood pumping and stay on top of your game. Earbuds that won't fall out or headphones that go over your head with a band are both awesome options.

#5 Toiletries

A bag inside of your bag is recommended, just in case for spills. Depending on your situation and time to move on from practice will determine what you need.

For showering, you can save money by getting a small bag of mini bottles that you can refill at home or the travel sized bottles that are prefilled with your favorite soaps.

For workout and go types, the disposable washcloths/wipes are a great option.

Deodorant for sure.

#6 Headband/Bandana

I recommend having a headband or bandana with you. You want to keep your hair out of your face and the sweat out of your eyes. There is nothing wrong with both if you have long hair. Just remember there is nothing glamorous about working out. It's a Powerwalk, not Catwalk.

#7 Towel

For so many obvious reasons, you want a towel. Keeping yourself dry when you can and in between sets is great.
