The end covers keep the salt and pepper from dusting off on the table and making a mess. This is just an all-around good product. The 2 in 1 design make it easier to bring out when we're cooking or serving. It's stainless steel and has a nice clean look to it. It's not bulky or too small.
In our home, my husband, Aron, is the main chef and is always looking for new products to try in our kitchen. This is great because of the adjustable grinder so the salt and pepper can go from chunky to fine with a click.
