In our home we have our own kids and we have little nieces and nephews that come to visit. Our kids are big and have caught the gene of trip over everything, fall when standing, youname it and they can manage to bite it, on it. They wipe out all of the time and to be honest, not all but, most of the time, it's pretty funny.
With the little guys, they are all between thigh and waist high to our coffee table. Poor Kaya is almost 2 and the most petite compact little hunk of sweet baby you could ever see. She is the waist high one. I am so worried every time she goes running through, she will get the wind knocked out of her.
Our Glass Coffee table in our living room is a great table but it is A.K.A. the "shin buster". It is 1 inch solid glass and is very sturdy. Aron has went bump in the night more times than I can count. It is funny to me to hear the Thud + OUCH!!!!! As soon as I hear the THUD, I know whats coming next. About 30-45 seconds of a continuous stream of bad words, blaming the coffee table for every misfortune in his life, and the threats of trading it in for a new rug.
That is why we appreciate and love the Premium Edge and Corner Guard by Bow Tiger. The rounded soft outer edge and the shaped flat inside edges fit perfectly on our table. I used the double sided tape that came with it and a standard pair of scissors. It was so easy to put on.
We had enough edging to cover the entire table and as a bonus the hip breaker in the kitchen. It's the little counter top space between the backdoor and stove. The only thing we even use that counter for is putting stuff out of the fridge or freezer to dig around, or make a cup of coffee. The most common use for that counter is whacking a hip bone on it when were coming in or going out. I have seen the biggest of men double over in that sharp bone on corner pain.
