4 Almost Free and Super Easy Spring Family Holiday Ideas

The weather is starting to improve and we’ve already started planning our adventures. Even if you’re not going to get a chance to have a holiday this spring, there are plenty of family activities you can enjoy that won’t cost too much.

Whether they’re Easter-themed, indoor or outdoor, you can fill up the days with one or two of these spring family holiday ideas…

#1 Easter Egg Hunt

There isn’t a child out there who doesn’t enjoy a good treasure hunt, and what better spring treasure is there than Easter eggs? Perfect for rain or shine, you can mix up the hidden treats with Easter-themed toys as well as chocolate eggs and bunnies.

#2 A Day in the Country

Whether you live in a town, city, or the middle of nowhere, a day out in the country can really help you appreciate the joys of spring. Leave the devices at home and experience a day without wifi!

You can plan activities such as a wildlife or nature checklist to help the kids interact with the outdoors. If you need more seasonally appropriate clothing for all the family, why not try up-to-date promo codes for Halfords? They already combine quality and great value, and with an additional online discount, you can afford to stock up on even more of their spring essentials.

#3 Backup Rainy Day Activities

Although the weather should be better, there’s always a chance of rain at this time of year, so make sure you have plenty of indoor activities planned. Of course, technology is going to play a part, but see if you can’t take the opportunity to get the kids involved in some craft activities, a family movie afternoon or evening and perhaps even some time doing jigsaw puzzles together.

#4 Dusting Off the Bikes

Maybe you bought your children cycles for Christmas and they haven’t had a chance to try them out properly yet – well now is the time! Dust them off and plan a morning bike ride, and if you need to stock up on any additional accessories or cycling safety items, some up-to-date promo codes for Halfords should be able to help you out. Not only is their range comprehensive, but they’ve also got a great choice of online savings available.

Family days out don’t have to cost the earth – with a bit of early planning, you can make sure the whole family stays active and entertained during the spring holidays!

  2. Treasure hunting was a idea similar to that of what we did last year; we painted an egg gold and hid it in a treasure chest (made from a shoe box, plastic necklaces, chocolate coins etc.) that was designed by the children that sought for the egg! Best of wishes and may they 'Spring' into reality!
