Lately we have had a string or "suspicious activity" in our neighborhood. I know the weather is warmer and we do live in a rural area and poachers are a serious issue. With that being said, we have more wildlife in our woods surrounding our house I like to keep our home safe.
We have already taken various measures of safety. We have a full camera system outside with motion activated record, we have the most awesome footage of a huge buck just a few feet from our front porch- Very Awesome!
We have a driveway monitor that dings when we get visitors, we have a shared driveway at the bottom and out driveway splits off about 100 feet for the road. We have the sensors at our gate and one half way up. It's really cool because the first ding lets us know someone is out there (No one lives up the other driveway, it just goes to a pasture), the second ding is my "make sure me robe's on" ding :)
We contacted the electric company and asked about out door lighting. They brought us 2 street light style light. It is a great option for us. We have one in the curve in our driveway and the other in our back yard. That work out great for us, its only $7 a month per light and it lights up out whole back and side yard.
The one thing we have had a problem with is wanting a light in the other part of or side yard. 3 nights ago, there was someone in the woods again. This time I saw them and it really freaked me out. This guy had no flashlight or anything. It made me think that it was an intruder not a hunter.
There were headlights coming down the road and they pulled into the lower driveway but they just pulled in and pulled back out, which is odd. We were on the back porch playing pool and just didn't think anything of it. Awhile later a bunch of deer went running out of the woods into our side yard.
Not thinking much of that, more time passed. I could hear branches breaking like someone was walking through the woods. Out of reaction I said, "oh my God, what was that". We stopped and could hear it for a second and then it stopped so Aron had me convinced it was probably the deer again.
About a half an hour later that same car flew back into our driveway and someone went running down the bank and jumped into the car and they took off. I was yelling for Aron to call the cops but, the only thing I could make out was it was a light colored car and the guy had short hair and a dark blue shirt and jeans.
So our issue now, getting the last side of our yard lit up. I have just the thing. The Solar Powered Outdoor Spotlight lights by InnoGear. These are what are making me have that little it of peace of mind right now.
These are so awesome to use and so easy to set up. The solar panels mean I don't have to worry about the power going out, batteries running out, or any of the crappy stuff that always happens at the wrong time.
I love the versatility. The came with a spike and screws SO that means I have the option of screwing them down to the side of the house or staking them down to the ground. In this case, I will be putting them on the house.
Each light comes with 2 adjusting points. One for the solar panel and one for the light.
This is the perfect set of light for us.
I received them for free in exchange of an honest unbiased review. If you have any questions about these product or would like to see your awesome products here on Amy & Aron's Real Life Review please feel free to email us directly at [email protected] or [email protected]

Our street is dark and we have the light bulbs in our outdoor lights that light-up when someone or thing approaches. I put them in at first so no one would fall or hurt themselves. Now they do make me feel somewhat safer. These lights sound awesome & doesn't hurt the pocketbook! I like that you have control of where they go.
ReplyDeleteThese home security cameras are definitely super trendy right now in the household tools department! And those ones look awesome. I've been browsing through quite a few of them of Shori Superstore. Do you think it's worth it to splurge for HD or UHD cameras for home security? And how does the number of channels affect the security cameras: some come with 2 or 4 channels but some even come in 8 channels?
