The huge truth that I think most couples miss out on is husbands and wives love each other so much we just love each other differently. That is in a lot of scenarios too. We all worry about the same stuff, we just worry differently. We are scared about the same stuff, we just show it differently.
So, finding special things to bridge those gaps, makes a huge difference. That is something that I wish I would have figured out years ago. It took severe situations to realize that.
Aron is my husband but, he is also my best friend. We are a blended family, we each have so much going on in our own lives and no matter what at the end of the day, we are each others family. We are the one that the other one chose for better or for worse, sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer, in the good times and hard, we love each other. I take those vows seriously.
If you are on my social media, you may know he just had surgery this week to have his big toe amputated. It's been a long time coming and it really needed to be done. I have been his legs. He's been couch, chair, bed bound except potty breaks for a few days and will still be for a few more. When he walks, he's doing great but not 100% stable.
He's afraid that he is less of a person, less of himself since he had to have a body part removed. So we spent hours discussing body parts and the important ones. He only has one I would be truly disappointed over losing but, would still love him the same just differently :)
Making our relationship special is full of surprises. I love getting him small tokens of affection to show that him at one point or another, without him being right in front of me, he is on my mind.
I get things all of the time for free in exchange for a review that I use to make little adventures for us. Keeping us happy and healthy is so important to me. I had the amazing opportunity to work with Bondage Bunnies and I more than gladly accepted.
I had a huge debate over writing about the products I am getting to write about. Some people may think it's inappropriate but well, I know a secret, you had sex to get those kids you write about every day so, let's not be prudes.
Aron was so surprised!! Stuff like this was a long time in the making. There were a few years where I wouldn't change or anything in front of him and special time was only in the dark. I was too self-conscious and worried that if he saw me he would be disgusted. I was depressed and gained over 100 lbs. He loved me the same through all of it. I have since lost the weight and-and still insecure sometimes.
One day, he surprised me and unexpectedly flipped the light on and said Baby, do you really think that I wouldn't love you if I saw you in the light. Do you really think I can't see you? I look at you every day and I love you. You are the most beautiful person in the world to me. I look at you and think what have I done so amazing to deserve you. I thought that was the most amazing thing I had ever heard. I turned the big light off but have since gained a whole lot of self-confidence.
I guess that was pretty silly of me to think that he didn't know what my body looked like under my clothes.

The set that I picked is absolutely beautiful.It's black lace, Coquette Black Stretch Lace Babydoll. It has an actual bra top with an underwire. It is its size! I am heavy chested and non-underwire tops are not attractive on me, in my opinion. It is so hard to find one that fits me right and this does. I was so happy. Aron was so happy.
It's amazing how attractive I felt by the way he looked at me. It's not the "Wow" he said when he saw me it was the look on his face, he didn't even have to say "Wow"I knew I was "Wow".
Making my husband happy on a level that NO ONE else can, makes me a proud wife.
