Household Products For Back To School Convenience

Finding stuff to make the house more convenient can be tricky sometimes because you want to have a convenience without an annoyance. The perfect example of that, we wanted a driveway alarm because we have a long driveway and sometimes don't hear people pulling in. Well, it was amazing at first. Then it just got annoying. It was REALLY annoying.

My dogs thought it was interesting, and every time they made a lap around the tree, it was going off in the house. Yes, we took it down.

So, finding other things that make the house more convenient, that we have put a lot of thought into the long-term effect of its convenience, has been a little tricky. This is what we have come up with,

A wireless doorbell. Only goes off when someone pushes it and the dogs are too short to ring in.

A laundry hamper that is easy to fill and folds up for storage.

These might seem like not so big of idea items but, they are awesome!!!!

The Wireless Doorbell, PAPAYAY® Waterproof DoorBell is really cool. It's wireless and so easy to hook up. The wireless receiver is powered by a plug-in instead of batteries. The transmitter is all-weather, so rain or snow won't ruin it.

While I was sitting here writing this, I had the best idea ever. I don't know if it's my mom brain thinking, school starts tomorrow. We can't be late! Cassie has to get up at 5 am to get on the bus at 6:15 am. She wants to start a new routine. Take a shower every morning instead of taking a shower at night. I am all for it. I feel more awake and refreshed when I take a shower in the morning. And if you’ve got a lovely bathroom complete with Nero tapware, for example, it does make using the space a lot easier!

So the master plan is, I am going to plug the receiver in so she can't unplug it while I'm ringing it like she does the alarm clock. So when my alarm goes off at 5, I can ring her room. Yes, I am going to receive the most creative award. I love myself and awesome ideas!

This is so easy to pair. It has 2 options for pairing, 52 music options, and 4 levels of volume. It is so easy to use. When I am done harassing the kids, and they start using their alarm clock responsibly, I will be using it at the top gate at our house.

The Small Laundry Hamper is so cool, too. I want the girls to be more responsible. They have a bad habit of going through their clothes and leaving them on the floor so I end up washing 2 loads of clothes because I don't know which 3 items were worn.

So this laundry hamper is a special one. It expands. So when it's full, it holds a week's worth of school clothes. School clothes only. That's the rule.

Cassie is the worst for wanting to wear the same clothes over and over. One year, a teacher sent home a note asking if Cassie needed clothes. I was thankful that someone paid attention; no, she has a closet full of clothes; she just likes to wear the same thing. They are always washed and clean, and she likes to wear them as soon as they come out of the dryer.

With the clothes being in the hamper, she can't wear them twice in the same week and space them out. That also preserves the clothes, and they last longer. It's a win-win for me.
