Nona Active Jumping Rope

How are your kids? Really? I write about my kids all the time and add them into my reviews and stories and absolutely love being their mom.

There is so much that goes along with parenting. I know there is fun stuff worth having the girls like hair, nails, make-up, vacations, and all of the adventures. There is also stuff that no parent wants to deal with and that's finding out one of your children is a special needs child and will never be like the other kids.

Cassie as many of you already know is a special needs child. We were finally able to get a diagnosis of dyslexia and borderline adhd.

We were advised of medications that help with focus and behavior but, we have decided against it. We do not feel like her behavior needs medication and we just do everything tailored to her and her educational need.

It is a struggle sometimes. Getting her to focus on anything for any period of time is almost impossible but we make due.

One thing that she loves to do and is more than just a game is jump rope. There are games that she can do by herself or with other kids. There are so many games to play too. We have scoured the internet for fun jump rope games and songs and even found an awesome special jump rope that she is happy using.

She is the critic of all jump ropes. Some of the problems we have has are
Too Short
Too Long
Hurts too bad when she misses (The leg whack always sucks)
Uncomfortable handles
Too soft of handles
Too wide or too short of handles

Except the most recent jump rope we got. I got it for free in exchange of a review and thought, it definitely couldn't hurt to try. She loves this thing a lot.

The features that she loves the most is the adjustable length and comfortable handles. It's a 9 foot 8 inch rope to begin with. She is so tall for her age, it's hard to find kid jump ropes that don't crack her shins the first time around. She doesn't have to do the hand wrap method to make it the right length. It's never one wrap - each hand or 2 wraps each hand. Its one wrap on hand, two wraps the other. Or some uneven measure that gets her frustrated. With the nona jump rope, I can adjust the handles just to where she needs them.

I did a little mommy magic though. I took the length she wanted and added about 6 inches. It's not enough to make her have to wrap it with her hand but it still gives he a little bit of growing room.

The songs in the book include but are not limited to Five Little Monkeys, Hello, Hello, Hello sir, I Can Do Polka, I Had a Little Brother, I know a little Lady, I See London I See France, Ladder Games, Lemon Drops, Mary, Robin Hood, Strawberry Shortcake, 3 Blind mice, Zoop la la, and so many more!

Something that we all love bout this is she can bring it with us everywhere. If she feels the need to jump, by all means, jump!!

I received this for free in exchange of an honest, unbiased review. If you have any questions about this product, or would like info on how to see your awesome products here on Amy & Aron's Real Life Reviews, please feel free to email us directly at [email protected]
