4 Kitchen Must Haves From Coffee to Popcorn

Who is the chef in your house? I love to cook but I'm not as good at it as Aron is. I have to make sure everything goes smooth or I am known to have mini-melt-downs throughout the house. It's not cute.

There are so many stages of falling apart through the course of preparing a meal. The evil laugh of acceptance/defeat and the silent cry are the 2 I most frequent. I really depend on my kitchen to work with me. What I mean by my kitchen is, all of the appliances, dishes, accessories, and most of all the food, to come together and understand, I am only a human, and I love the people I am feeding very much.

Some very dependable products I have grown to love are a few that I got to review lately so I want to tell you all about them.

We will start with the most basic necessity, Coffe. Have you ever burnt a coffee pot? made the coffee so strong that it didn't just taste like freshly brewed dirt but also put hair on you chest? Every mishap with the coffee that you could imagine, I have been through. Including, busting the pot by whacking it on the counter while I was talking.
I received this amazing Sumatra Dream French Press that only requires hot water, I can totally serve up hot water! So, it's very easy to use and since it's a press, you can bring it with you everywhere. No electricity needed. All you need really (besides the coffee) is hot water.

The set comes with a measuring spoon. Just put in your ground coffee, pour in your hot water (no filter) plunge down the press and serve. It's really that easy.

All of the loose grounds stay at the bottom of the pot and having freshly brewed coffee is that easy and that fast. There is no wait time on the percolator. It is really simple and the cool part of it not being plugged in, I don't have to worry about forgetting and burning the pot.

As far as the pot itself goes, it is nice to hold on to. The handle is comfortable and supports the weight of it nicely. The plunger is very easy to operate and smooth. There is no fighting or hard resistance.

Something else I have had problems with in the past is Popcorn. Yes, simple, lovable popcorn. One of America's favorite snacks has defeated me on more than one occasion. Everyone can make Popcorn, NO, Not Everyone Can Make Popcorn. For me, I make Char-corn. Bag for the microwave or pot on the stove, I have been defeated more times that I can count or even care to admit.
Well, SiliCONE has heard our evil laugh of acceptance/defeat and the silent cries and have rescued us from ourselves. This is so simple, a silicone popcorn popper. This makes popping the corn fast and so much cheaper than buying the microwave kind all of the time. it's so much healthier too.

Simple steps
#1- Pop it open
#2- pot Popcorn kernels in it
#3 Turn on the microwave
#4 Eat it

I love simple recipes. This is one that it's so easy for everyone in the family to be able to enjoy their favorite flavors on their popcorn without haveing to pay the price for gourmet popcorn. We have all of the seasoned popcorn shakers and the kids like to make their own flavors and do an amazing job at it.

This is so simple to store when it's not being used. It's pops down into itself and takes up so little room, it's awesome. Another cool thing about it is, oil is not required so it's really healthy! Well, until we add five sticks of butter then, not so much.

It comes with it's own travel bag so making popcorn anywhere is so easy. Work, school, or even a motel room if you're on vacation. Really it is so simple and so convenient, and easy.

So what about kitchen accessories and tools? Everything in a kitchen is an asset. I love things that help me along the way. One thing I am pretty good at is baking. I love to make desserts for the family and for the kids and their friends when they have sleep-overs. One thing I have been trying to get better at is the decorating.
I teamed up with Ohuhu on a brilliant kitchen tool. The  Aluminium Alloy 12 Inch Revolving Cake Stand.  I love this cake decorating table. It's perfect for evenly spinning my cakes for easy decorating and serving on.

Spinning the cake versus reaching over or turning a counter level stationary dish is so much better to me. I can frost evenly and so much faster with the raised up platform. This is a great surface for cake decorating.

Aside from the easy of use as a tool, this is a beautiful serving tray. It is so shiny and elegant. It makes a beautiful centerpiece to a dinner party.

Nice spatulas make a huge difference in cooking too. The Small Black Spatula Turner bt Home Dejour  is the perfect addition to our collection. The handle is important as well as the paddle end. The handle features a hole in the end so I can hang it up when it's not being used. The flipper is a nice width. I can easily flip everything from eggs to pancakes, to burgers without worrying about them falling apart.

The spatula is nice and sturdy and can hold even a half pound burger without a struggle. I had no problems using it in high heat pans, there was no melting or warping at all. I love that about it. It's very flexible!

I received this for free in exchange for an honest unbiased review. If you have any questions about these products or would like info on Amy & Aron's Real Life Reviews- reviews or giveaways please feel free to email us directly at [email protected] or [email protected]
