I love Christmas time. Ever since I was a little kid, the magic has just swallowed me whole. Now that I am a mom, the magic means so much more. There are so many things that we do that make the time special. We make memories every year and try our best to keep living and keep creating new traditions.
Our youngest daughter is 10 now and has so many questions. The magic is very real for her and we plan on keeping it that way until well, forever :) We like stories for the holidays. real and made up. It's just such a great time to share with friends and families.
There are the traditional ones like Night Before Christmas, How the Grinch Slote Chrismas, A Christmas Carol, and Polar Express, you know, the classics. Well, we found an absolutely adorable book and had the chance to review it. It is so cute!!
Santa's Mysterious Boot is an absolutely amazing story. The elves at the North Pole made a special boot that can make Christmas so much better!
The 4 magic buttons include
A snowflake button- will produce snow that won't melt for 2 days.
A Rocket Button- To jet-propel Santa up the chimney
A Musical Note Button- Plays Christmas music
A gingerbread man Button- Spray magic powder for gingerbread dreams.
When Santa got to Utah, he had some very funny happenings with pushing the wrong buttons; instead of hitting the gingerbread dreams button to make the boys sleep, he sprayed the living room carpet with snow. He hit the Turbo Buton for a quick escape, and the boot got left behind!
The boys got the boot and tried it on- that didn't go well either. They filled their room with snow!
The boy's mom helped them try to find Santa by running an ad in the paper. Santa Clauses came from all around to try to claim the boot. None of them were the real Santa.
The next year Santa sent a message to the boys about the Spirit of Christmas. I will not give away the ending. I know I am a sensitive person but in the last few pages of the book, I got goose bumps and had to fight back the tears.
This book is the perfect book for kids reading on their own, or to read as a family, this is the cutest book to help find the Spirit of Christmas.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a great book. I like the snowflake button that will produce snow that won't melt for 2 days. That would be pretty cool.
