What is your favorite part of bed time? I love hopping into be and letting the sheets settle in around me. There is nothing like the feeling of soft sheets. That brings me to the reason I am bringing up such a random subject. We recently remodeled our house. Actually this week we added on a whole new room to the house to let the mes spread out a little further.
One thing I demanded when we set our minds to making this happen is, I get to pick the bed set. So, I did. With our amazing friends over at Mellanni.com, the choice was certain. I wanted their sheets and then I'm working on the rest.
First of all, the coverage is perfect. There is not too much over hang so the tucked edges are nice and smooth. I don't know if that is a pet peeve to you but, I know I don't like crooked lines on my bed or bunched up spots.
I can tuck my pillows with the line at the top giving the professional fold. My grama used to make my grampa's bed every day and taught me how to make the top look like a commercial, it's a lot easier than it looks and I have loved the look of a nice neat bed since then.
Wrapped in snuggles.
The texture of the sheet is absolutely amazing. It is a 1800 Brushed Microfiber. The only thing I can think of to compare it to is velvet on my skin. I am sleeping in less so I can snuggle with the sheet. The packaging says Extra Soft right on it but, I was still ~eyebrows to the hair line~ surprised.
Mellanni offers so many bedding options. Kids sized all the way to a California King, pillow cases to bed room accessories including throw pillows and curtains.
I have found myself wanting to spend more time in my bed to work. It has noting to do with being bed bound. It has to do with, I am comfortable and I have a lap top so, why not!! That is definitely a perk of working from home. I can easily have breakfast in bed and spend my whole work day in there too.
A few things we have noticed a difference in since using the Luxury Linens are simple but much appreciated things.
Waking up drier.
Aron sleep sweats. He is like a furnace when he lays down. He named our room the "Sweat Box". That is something that has been happening since I have known him. It's not a big deal, it happens but, since we have been using Mellanni, not so much. I didn't realize that until it hit me, oh ya, hes not waking up wet or as hot! The microfiber has a wicking effect keeping us drier.
Less sneezing fits.
These are hypoallergenic sheets. Aron hasn't had a 15 sneeze marathon since we started using them. I always tell him after 3 he's just showing off but every night like clockwork, more sneezes than I can count. Not as much anymore!
More cost effective for us.
Fade, stain, shrink and wrinkle resistant.That's just a few things I appreciate. With less wear and tear, I have to buy less. That is a HUGE deal for us. We have 3 full complete sets in the house plus the back ups. With the long life that Mellanni offers, we are saving money just by using them.
