Daddy Magic is Real! #BabyMagic

I want to a special shout out today. To all those dads out there doing their thing and making magic happen. There is a huge deal with Mommy Magic ( I radiate that stuff) but I don't want to take anything away from dads either.

I have some very magical heroic stories of moms being moms. I have focused on that a lot in my life because my dad passed away when I was so young, that is what I relate to mostly. My mom founded mommy magic and she was a PRO!

With dads, its a different kind of magic but equally as amazing. My dad was awesome. He set the standard so high for what a dad should be. We always felt so special and dad always made sure we felt like princesses. I see so much of his standards in Aron and I love it.

One memory I have of my dad that makes me laugh and sad at the same time. It was when he wanted to bring us swimming. I was about 6 and my sister was 8. This was right after my parents split up. Mom always took care of the swimming suits and things like that, dad didn't care, we would swim at home in the back yard in our underoo's and it didn't matter. But, you can't go to a pool in your underoo's.

I was standing in the middle of the living room crying because I couldn't find my bottoms and he wanted me to wear something that didn't match and I was temporarily loosing my mind about it. He was so upset that I was so upset. He suggested that I wear a pair of panties that almost matched the top but NO! I Know they are my panties! Everyone knows they are not a swimming suit! He suggested I just throw a shirt over it and no one would know. Absolutely not, I was not having it!

We went shopping for a whole cart of stuff at K-Mart. I got the swimming suit, it was a red one piece with white polka-dots. I couldn't loose the top or bottom that way. We got to go swimming afterwards and then had lunch and everything. It was so much fun. I can still remember the look of panic on his face when I refused to cooperate.

He was awesome. He was the best dad ever. He was proud of us girls no matter what. I love him and I miss him. He passed away in a car accident about a year after that.

So I want to send a special shout out to all the dads doing their best to make it happen for their little ones. We are proud of you!! Keep up the great work guys!!

Baby Magic is celebrating 65 years of caring for baby's skin. They have a campaign running that Dads are Magic Too. I agree and I'm so happy to be sharing that with you. They did a great post on Dad's in the Making. I think Dad's need to be noticed for all of their hard work. Were proud to be partnering with them on this.
