4 Great Gift Ideas (some free) For Moms

Feeling appreciated is an awesome feeling. I'm a mom, wife, and blogger it seems like all of my time is invested in the care of everyone else needs. I get rewarded in overflowing love and affection. One of the things that my husband and kids ask me is- What do you want?

I have been really thinking lately, what do I want? My usual answer "I have everything I want". But, do I?? I'm pretty sure that I can come up with an idea (or 10) that would make great gifts and gift recommendations for the moms and wives in your life. Really, Christmas is right around the corner, I need to get these ideas out there before it's too late to place orders, you know- to be helpful :) (Aron- you better be reading this one).

Jewelry

Jewelry is something that I have had on my list for quite some time. I like elegant, delicate, and shiny pieces. A pair of earrings that were on my list for quite some now, Japanese Akoya Pearl Stardust Earrings, I just got them! Yes, I did, I LOVE them!

These are Japanese Akoya pearl earrings on a sterling silver chain. These are so unique and I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. They feature a hook style post that has enough of a curve that they don't need a back on them.

They have a really nice weight to them. I know I am wearing them but they don't pull or tug on my lobes. It's so nice to have the feeling of being so glamorous. I'm a mom and I do messy stuff but, I do look good doing it!

The Pearl Source has a beautiful selection to pick from. White, black, rose, and ivory overtones for the perfect pair. I think all of them are absolutely beautiful.

Sentimental

I am one of those ladies that like a simple sweet gesture and a little bit of a surprise. I do love having flowers on my desk. I think it's so thoughtful when someone takes the time to order flowers and candy. Roses are my favorite for sure. Aron gets them for me on occasion but the non-occasion or just because "I love you" is the best.

These are the kinds of things that don't have to come in pairs either. Sending Roses Only is a great idea too.

Pampering

I love to take the time out to relax. This can even be arranged as a free gift idea, all it takes is a little time. The kids can get in on it too. You can get all of the stuff to put together a super mom soak basket. Most moms have that little stash of stuff that they plan to use one day when they get 30 minutes of downtime but it doesn't happen. So, you can raid the dusty side of the bathroom cabinet or run out and grab new stuff.

What to do with it...

Run a bath
Arrange all of the pampering stuff on the counter
Throw a bath bomb, bubbles, or soak crystals in the tub as soon as you get her in their bathroom
Run out and shut the door
This is the fun part- build a barricade about 2 feet away from the door so little hands can't knock and interrupt.
After all of that- break out the paper bouquet. on the stems write things like foot rub, no dishes night, take out the trash, and 2 tv shows in a row. Get creative about it, make it personal. Make it all about the things that she loves and would love to happen.

Memories

As a mom, my one thing that I cherish the most is my memories. I had a photo album when Abby was little that kept all of my memories in. Over the years it has turned into a huge tote that's overflowing of all of my snapshots and event reminders. This is my prized possession. Now that everything is so digital, it's been awhile since I have added anything to it.

An awesome gift idea would be a flash drive or DVD full of memories. It's something that will be watched until it's worn out. There are so many awesome companies that you can send out to or that you can bring your stuff to them and they will do it for you. You can easily make an amateur one with free apps online.

There are so many things that moms want but we don't say it out loud because we don't want to pressure our family. We are human, we want stuff :) I love gifts, there is just a special feeling of knowing that someone took some of their precious time and used it thinking of me.

What are some of your favorite gift ideas? I am going to be making a few more themed gift lists and would love to add in your ideas. This is for readers and brand/companies. We love getting suggestions from all of you!
