Meal Planning Made Easy With Selectivor

Let's make a meal together. Not just any meal, but the best American meal of the year. Let Selectivor help plan the best meal for everyone. Finally, a way to know ahead of time who has an allergy, intolerance, or special diet so no one feels bad at the best meal of the year!

Thanksgiving!!

This celebration is not tied to any religious beliefs or any specific nationalities. It's a recognized federal holiday for Americans to give thanks and celebrate a meal. I love this idea. It truly does make me happy. It does not matter where your people settled in from, WE are Americans, let's break some bread!

All of that is great and to be honest, I get goosebumps everytime I say it. Typing or with saying it vocally. It really means a lot to me to be able to say that.

My great great grandparents were all immigrants. My great-grandfather was an Irishman,  his wife a French Canadian their daughter married an Englishman, they had my father. My grandmother on the other side was Indian and Irish, she had my mother. Do you know what all of that means? I am an American and I celebrate Thanksgiving because I have so much to be thankful for.

We celebrate with all kinds of stuff. We have standard traditional foods like turkey, ham, potatoes, rolls, and some specialty items like scalloped corn, green bean casserole, and potica that have been passed down through the generations.

We love being able to share stories and laughs and make new memories. My mother is our oldest living relative, locally. Every time we have a family meal, I remind her that she is responsible for all of this, the whole lot of us.  Then we cry :)

All of that is great, it gets me so excited to see everyone but there are some tricky issues we have to deal with for the event that I do need help with. Food allergies and food tolerances even simple stuff like food likes and dislikes. Like I said, I need help with that. It's way too much to remember. There is at least 30 of us when we get together.

This is a food/diet list  that I have to deal with:

1 Vegetarian
1- Diabetic
2- no carb
1- high protein
3- low sodium
2- just completely picky
1- no onion
1- no mushroom
1- no dill

That alone is enough to specifications to say ~ No, I'm not doing it we can go out.~ But, I don't. I cook my heart out. Some dishes have variations and some don't. The last few years have been easier because my kids are big enough to help cook but that's still a lot to deal with.

You know me, have a problem? Find a solution. That's where Selectivor comes in.  This is an online social sharing site and app and it's designed for all eaters. It that helps me keep it all in order. I can invite everyone that's coming to dinner to add in any restrictions that may be going on. it can be edited as many times as necessary.

All of the info I need is right at the tip of my fingertips. I don't have to manually write down a list or try to remember it anymore. We all know that relying on my memory doesn't work for me. This is a way for all eaters to come together and eat like we have no boundaries!! I think it's an amazing idea!!

Setting it up is so easy, I created my account with four easy steps. Name, email, password, and confirm my account. The other way is to just log in with Facebook (that's the easiest). After I confirmed my account, I made my first event and started adding in my food profile. This is so cool because I can invite everyone else to add in their own info.

It is so much easier to manage a meal when you know ahead of time who can eat what. Do you know how much money I can save by using this? Or how much food won't be wasted?!!

With the menu changing and being able to keep up with it all, we will save money and waste so much less. I love that. That isn't even the purpose of the site but I can live with those results.

I think this would be a great idea for classrooms. There are anywhere from 20-30 kids per class. If the parents would all sign in as a part of the group, parties would be so much easier and no kids would be left out. I love that idea. I have kids and I know what they feel like if they can't participate because of something that is beyond their control. It sucks. Wouldn't it be great if no kids had to experience this again?

There are so many other occasions Selectivor would be great.  Specialty events including weddings, birthdays, church events, holidays, you name it, being food organized is an amazing feeling. I love this site.

What do you think? Would you use this for your meal organizing?

This is a free app/website to help everyone eat together!!
