You guys all know by now that I love accessories and jewelry. I was more than excited to work with Tulsa Body Jewelry. They have everything you can imagine in beautiful colors and metals. They have everything from 20 gauge to 3-inch plugs. They have every body part piercing that you could ever think of.
A little funny story about me and my jewelry.
When I was 22, I moved back to my birth town and got a little breather from the town I grew up in. That's where I got my first piercing that wasn't a standard ear piercing. I loved it.
That's when my real love affair started with body modifying. I loved the way it shined when the light hit it. So, after that, I had my lip pierced, then, my eyebrow. In between those piercings, I had accumulated 4 holes in each ear. Talk about shine. I looked like I had glitter studs that shimmered from a distance. I loved it.
I came home after about a year and a half to see my mom and she was surprised. She didn't say anything negative to my surprise. She caught me off guard. Out of the blue, she said Oh my God, what happened. My initial reaction was to do the quick scan of the room to see if anyone was hurt, I said What?! She said- A tackle box exploded on your face!! We all busted out laughing.
I never asked for her permission but, she did give me her approval.That old saying of it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission is very true. It wasn't gaudy or extreme, it was just shiny. It's been about 15 years and I still have them. I didn't outgrow it or become too mature for the personal bedazzling I have done. At a few points, I had to take the jewelry out for work but I had them re-pierced after time.
My kids have been around stuff like this her whole life, it's normal and not extreme like some people think. I was totally approving when my oldest daughter asked if she could get her nose pierced. We made a deal, she could get it done at 13 as long as she kept her grades up. She did. I couldn't find a place to do it until she was 15 though. She's 16 and has her eyebrow and nose done.
She has been gauging her ears for about a year and a half. I didn't know that ear skin was so forgiving! I love it that she isn't afraid to march to the beat of her own drum. She is a total inspiration to me.

I am in love with the neutral tones of the Bali Blossom earrings, and the lip ring, nose stud, and eyebrow ring. They all go together like a set.It's so comfortable to wear too.
I switched out all of my jewelry with the Tulsa Body Jewelry and it all went in really smooth. The ends were easy to twist on. I was so worried I was going to drop the ends and I wouldn't be able to do the review. I was successful in getting it all in :)
