For me, I notice peoples eyes first. That being said, I try to make mine as noticeable as I can. Eye contact is a must for me. I have noticed over the past few years that my lashes aren't as full as they used to be so I have been wanting help with that. Grande Cosmetics has exactly what I was needing.
I had the opportunity to work with them on a review of GrandePRIMER and GrandeMASCARA. I was so excited from the beginning to get it here and start using it.
When the package arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging. It came in a pretty sheer pink drawstring bag. It may sound silly but the presentation is a huge part of the unveiling. The simple but pretty bag was a nice touch.
Onward to the prize inside. GrandePRIMER and GrandeMASCARA (YAY) Both containers are easy to hold and use. They aren't bulky at all.
Just so we are clear, I had no idea there was such thing as eyelash primer prior to this campaign. I thought primer was just something for skin, I was so wrong, this is amazing!!
Applying Grande Cosmetics GrandePRIMER and GrandeMASCARA
Starting with clean lashes it's time to get ready.
Using the GrandePRIMER is super simple. All I had to do is apply it like regular mascara. It's white and goes on very smooth. The bristles don't get gunked up either. It's a small tube that's easy to hold and manage. Because of the white color, I can make sure that all of the lashes are coated and I don't have any uncovered spots. Instantly, I can see length on my lashes that I couldn't see before. This is like magic.
Right after applying the GrandePRIMER, the GrandeMASCARA goes right over it. Again with the color, I know if I have applied the mascara evenly because the white will be covered. I love the fact that the primer is a different color than the mascara. It goes over the primer easily and really makes my lashes look longer and thicker. It's amazing how well and fast this works. This is just one application.
GrandePRIMER and GrandeMASCARA have instant gratification. As soon as it's on there is a definite improvement on my lashes. I have longer blacker lashes that really I feel like I have a prettier lash line all the way around. This is the closest I have come to look like I am wearing lash extensions and they are my real lashes!! I love the confidence it gives me. That old phrase about smiling eyes, I get that now!!

That is great and nothing like the first mascara I ever used. It's smooth and evenly textured with no wadding. I don't need a pin, lash brush or anything!! When I was a youngster, mascara and lip gloss/colored chapstick were a right of passage. We had to be responsible enough to wear makeup.
My first tube was actually clear mascara. It didn't make my lashes any thicker or defined. It turned my little lashes into tiny little harpoons that clumped together so bad, it looked like spikes.
I was NOT going to admit to my mom or my older- all knowing sister, they were right but the first time that I got one nicely coated harpoon in my eye, I knew for sure, my eye was going to fall out. Me, being a woman now (so I thought I had the mascara to prove it) it was something I was going to have to cry silently over. I was 10 years old holding my one eye with two hands and running in place.
That was an agony I had never felt to that point in my life. My eyes watered and burned, my nose ran, and I couldn't open my eye to try to get the lash out. Finally, I bent my arm around my head to pull my eyelid up from the top so I could see without my arm blocking my view. I was able to fan and rub as my eye watered enough to get that stiff, sharp, little lash out.
By the time I was done with that 2 minute eternity, I looked like I had been punched in the face with cinder blocks. Although that was quite exciting, it didn't slow me down. I still love makeup and it's come a long way.
