Keeping Track Of My Projects Made Simple With OfficeTime

Working from home is an amazing thing. I have so many more advantages in my financial and personal life that I had never experienced before. It's more fulfilling than any other job I have ever had. Even though It is very awesome, it does have its drawbacks.

I have realized that my time management is BAD.  I think I can get to things and complete projects way faster than I actually can. I always think that I can write things down to keep track but guess what, I lose my notes. Not anywhere understandable like it blew out the window or the dog ran off with it but on m desk. I'll take down such bad notes, I won't be able to decipher it.

Yes, I love working from home but I do need help.

I just had the opportunity o work with OfficeTime. It's really cool. It helps me keep up with the time sent on projects and organize my calendar, and so much more. One thing that I love about it is I can really keep track of how much time I spend per project. That gives me a way to track how much I make per hour.

I want to show my favorite features of the OfficeTime. This is an awesome tool in my success and I think it can help you too. Ultimately, this is my time, I want to manage it the way I want to.

Time Management

I love this for the main reason for tracking my time spent and seeing what it is I spend my time on. It helps me prioritize my tasks and shows me in a real view of what I need to hurry up on and what I can take more time doing. Have you ever said- Where did the time go, I have nothing to show for it? OfficeTime has the answer and it's right there in black and white- unless you custom color like I do. :)

Money Management

Since I have been my own boss, I don't punch a time clock. I get paid per project that I do. Sometimes I can get a project done in a few hours and sometimes I have to work on it for several days. That makes a huge difference in what my hourly earnings are. It also changes my expectations for future jobs, I can see a more realistic way to estimate.

I can also create invoices right from the app. That makes income and expenses so easy to manage. I can sync contacts to again, make it more efficient for myself.

Break Times

I get lost in the moment sometimes. I will be on a roll and keep going and going without realizing how much time has passed. I have sat at my desk for 14+ hours without doing anything else. That's not good health-wise. This time of year with so much going on in my blogging world, it's pretty easy to do.

I can make sure I am working productively and taking breaks when I need to. While its recommended to have 5-10 minutes of breaks per computer work hour. What that means is, 10 minutes every hour I am working. I can break it up for 5 minutes every 30 minutes or just go for the whole 10 minutes.

Convenience

This is a great convenience. It's available for desktop use as well as iOS. The download is simple and step by step. I didn't have to do anything, it does it all on it's own. OfficeTime offers expense and productivity tracking, reports, invoicing and mobile solutions as well. We offer versions for Mac/PC/iPhone/iPad and Apple Watch

You can get it from iTunes or as a direct download for PC or Mac. I love the options because I can have it on several devices, I work from more than one device and on the go sometimes so it would only make sense to have it on all of them.

Stop and Go Help

The OfficeTime timer lets you start and stop any timer at any time. I can even run multiple timers. The rounding feature is great because it rounds after the task has been stopped and if I need to restart any project, I just restart the timer and the previous rounding automatically goes away until I stop it again. The icon is always in view so I can click it to open and click away to put it behind my other windows, anytime I want.

If I leave my device and forget to stop or pause the task, it does it for me. I love that. For me, I will either wander away to tend to the kids or take a break and forget to pause it, it calculates that for me. On the other hand, I am a product reviewer. I have to be away from my desk to evaluate products but, it's still part of my project.

When I come back, OfficeTime gives me the option to leave the time away in the tracker or take it off. I can even have it show in the report my time away so I can keep track of all of my time spent on a project on or away from my computer.

Daily Tips

The Daily Tips comes in handy, I learn something new on here every day. Billing is the one that I like to learn more about and it never fails, the tips are there to help me along. The awesome part of the Daily Tips is I can go back or just click next when I'm done or if one that doesn't apply to me. It really is awesome to have.
