My personal favorite treat for all time is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I have had a secret love affair with these guys for over 30 years. The delicious creamy peanut butter and beautiful chocolate edge, oh my goodness, deliciousness in every bite. These are my weakness.
We even have a name for them. "5 year old Christmas". I have a story. I have to share this little story.
The first place my sister, mom and I lived in when we moved out on our own was a really tiny apartment. Our Christmas tree took up half of our living room and it wasn't even a big tree. My mom was so proud of her hard work and it was good. I was 5 and my sister was 7, it was a life time ago for sure!
She had a porcelin candy dish that she kept on the coffee table that was a brightly painted Santa with his red suit, black belt, and white beard. It was my favorite dish. She kept that dish full of the individually wrapped mini Reese's. I will never forget those tiny silver, gold, red, and green foils.
A few years ago I was talking and mentioned that the min peanut better cups reminded me of my 5 year old Christmas. Ever since then, my kids have called them "5 Year old Christmas". If they want them, that's what the ask for. It's so sweet when something so small can bring back so many amazing memories.
The Magic Wand of Candy Kingdom
The plastic tubes filled with individually wrapped candies are another all time favorite for me. When I was little I would pretend these were the magic wands of Candy Kingdom. They have them for every holiday. These are the perfect size for kids (and grown ups) to carry. I love the novelty of it.
This year, there are the little plastic tubes filled with individually wrapped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in red foil with a red heart at the top of the plastic tube.
Pink Hearts Candy Share
For Valentines Day, Reese's makes mini peanutbutter hearts with a pink coating that's just makes me so happy. These are perfect for the classroom candy shares. They are individually wrapped in easy to open sealed wrappers.
Jolly Rancher Candy Share
The individually wrapped jelly hearts from Jolly Rancher are so cute for the candy share. Each packet of Jolly Ranchers has a to and from right on the wrapper. These are so cute. No need to get the cards with these guys, its cards and candy all in one convenient wrap.
