Here we are in 2018 bright-eyed and ready to make this year our own. I am like that every year but to be honest I usually fizzle out around the early spring. The first sign of a holiday and all of my focus is out the window. Not this year! Thanks, Abrie James for having my back on this one.
I just received the Abrie James 2018, planner. This is an awesome planner that has every day, week, and year lined out with enough space to actually add in my plans. I remember one year that I tried to use a planner and Saturday and Sunday had to share a box. The first time my plans wouldn't fit on that triangle slot, I tossed in the drawer.
Well, guess what, I have kids, I'm a working mom, a lot of my work and work goals are on weekends. I have a giveaway going live in 15 1/2 hours. I need weekend space.
From the beginning, I was impressed with the brand. The package was cushioned to keep it safe during shipping. That is a big deal to me when ordering books of any kind. I don't like bent edges. When I opened the package, I found a neatly wrapped box with the words ABRIE JAMES on the front.
A sturdy, elegant but simple box. I love it. I was instantly thinking, hmm, I can use that for papers instead of cramming them in a drawer. I am one of those people that write everything down to get it in one place but then I still keep whatever appointment or reminder I have just in case I wrote it down wrong. So, it's like backing up my files. Not that I keep up with it, I just have it all. I think I may want to be a hoarder somewhere deep inside.
Opening the box, I was even more impressed. Right away I saw the stack of Thank You cards. Seriously, how thoughtful. There have been so many times I would work through a great campaign and a brand or company would go an extra mile for me and I would want to send them a handwritten thank you note but, I wouldn't have one so I didn't.
Saying thank you goes a long way. For other bloggers, this is a great time to use those business cards that have been sitting on your desk. I am pretty excited and I know who my first card is going out to.
To the planner! It's amazing. It has a clear thick cover that's flexible and very sturdy. The rings are close together and provide good balance and reliability. The pages inside are even more impressive.
There is a tab for every month with a box calendar on the first page to fill in appointments deadlines, reminders, you know, all of the calendar stuff. BUT there is also a few extra pages after each monthly calendar to write notes and be more descriptive. I love that! To even further the note taking there is a section just for notes and gratuity.
For every month there is a spot that shows the month before and after which I find very helpful. Especially when it comes time to plan my giveaways because a lot of the time they don't start and end in the same month. There are 10 days to 2-week pre-giveaway time that helps amp our readers up and get other bloggers on board to help promote it. It is very rare that all of that happens in one month. Having the reminder right there is awesome.
I love the quotes at the bottom of the pages. They are all positive messages that really feel good to read. There is one for every week in the notes section. The quote for this week is-
"I can't change the direction of the wind but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination- Jimmy Dean."There is so much about the Abrie James 2018 calendar that really makes me love it more and more. The little thoughtful touches that make me as an owner of the product, feel important. They used a great layout with an elegant but simple design. I love this planner.
