What do you look for in a lunch box? We have reviewed so many different brands and styles of lunch boxes over the past few years all the way from stylish to reinforced. The one we just got from Red Suricata is definitely one of the more unique.
The design is very user-friendly. It has handles and an adjustable strap so it has two options for carrying it. The handles have a reinforced wrap around strap that holds them together for easy/comfortable toting. The removable shoulder strap is adjustable and padded for comfort. This bag screams convenience.
The interior is set up so well! The sides have zippered pockets to hold the hot and cold packs and the lids have zippered pockets that are perfect for condiments, napkins, and cutlery. The exterior has pockets with elastic tops that keep stuff from falling out. It's altogether a great design in my opinion.
The exterior has 2 pockets on short sides for drinks and other stuff. The face of the lunch box has a dual zippered pocket that covers the whole length of the bag. Another unique feature of this bag re the exterior zippers all have extended tabs. In my opinion, they are easier to use and lengthen the life of the zipper by reducing the stress of the zipper.
The bag is completely leak proof and if something spills inside the bag it can't seep through to the other compartment or out of the bag. The Red Suricata bag itself is lightweight but very sturdy. There is a color for everyone. It's available in three colors; Fiery Red, Pitch Black, and Navy Blue.
