We love games for kids. Especially the kind of games that offer hands-on learning and brain stimulation. The stuff that really makes these guys think and be on their toes. That's why we like Top Trumps. We have worked with them on several of our gift guides and we welcome them every time.
Top Trumps makes card games for kids. They are designed for 6 years and up. Each deck has a cute colored carrying case with a clear front to store and tote the cards when they aren't being used. That's a huge perk for caregivers. No excuses, cards in the case and we aren't picking them up all over the house. YAY! Thanks, Top Trumps.
How to Play
Starting the Game
Shuffle the cards and deal all of the cards to the players.
Player One-
Look at your top card, choose the best category and call out the number for that category.
All other Players
Call out the number in that category on your card. The player with the highest number wins that round.
The winner keeps the cards from that round and starts the next round by picking their top card and choose the best category and call out the number for that category and so on.
Winning the Game
To win the game you collect all of the cards from the deck.
These are fun games and can be played as fast or as slow as the players want to. It makes a great competition for 2-6 players.
Each deck of cards has a theme. We have the Extraordinary Engineering, Sensational Science, and, Terrific Technology decks. Every card has a factoid on it. I think that is pretty cool.
