Dishes The Whole Family Will Love With a Culinary Torch

I'm all for learning new things. When it comes to cooking, I am not formally trained so I have picked up everything I know along the way. It started when I was so little. I remember standing on a chair or step stool to help mom and grama make stuff. It was fun. Although my cooking skills haven't developed very much since then, I still love to try. I can work a microwave extremely well and I can order take out like nobody's business, even the tricky custom orders. That doesn't stop me from trying really hard though.

I LOVE new cooking tools. Every chance I get, I work with companies to test out their latest products to see how awesome they are. Would you like to see what I just got?? Oh yes, a Culnary Torch set. I'm typing with a smile in case you can't tell.

So, for those of you that don't know, creme brulee is a dessert of custard topped with caramelized sugar. But, they don't have to be used for only treats. There are many things to use a creme brulee torch for.

My stepdads favorite thing to do with it (which drives my mom crazy) is yard work. He seems to think, it's the best way to get the leaves burned. The wind doesn't blow it out and it really gets burning fast. HA, I think that's hilarious. I'm so happy they don't read my website unless I ask them to.

Searing fleshy fruits and vegetables are nice too. Tomatoes and peppers are a good one for this. They have a soft fleshy texture that burns and falls apart really easy when cooking so this is a great way to cook them without them falling apart.

Inside S'mores. YAY!! Who loves smores but doesn't like mosquitoes or campfires? O know that the trio goes hand in hand but for us die-hards, this is a much easier way. Thre is no 2 day prep time on building a campfire, setting the tents, and getting everyone together at the same time. Get out the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers and do it right in the kitchen.  This is an amazing thing for our family. I have solar dermatitis and my youngest daughter is allergic to mosquitoes. That keeps us indoors a lot of the time. Yay for summer fun coming to us.

The kids all like specialty drinks from the coffee shop. We recently got our own coffee bar to make all the goodies at home. Adding a little twist to the drinks is charring the top of the cream.

Saganaki is wonderful fried cheese. Have you tried it? To me, fried cheese is awesome all the way around but, making it can be tricky.

Toasting the top of a casserole, lasagna, or pizza is cool too. Have you ever baked something to near perfection but the top is just not quite done? Well, it's done just not toasty? I like a soft crust on pizza but I like bubbly dark spots of toppings too. How do you get that perfect combination and not have to sacrifice what you love? The torch of course.

So, for the culinary torch, what makes it so amazing? It has a refillable tank that makes specialty cooking right in my home so easy. The torch is safe to use by everyone, from beginner to expert chefs. With only two simple steps the culinary torch is ready to be used, push and turn left in order to enjoy its utility in the kitchen.

For Creme Brulee, it can be any custard you want. Custard is an awesome treat and is pretty impressive to serve. I love simple recipes with amazing outcomes. It reminds me of Teletubbies. I would give my oldest daughter tubby custard (a snack pack) when she watched the show when she was little.

The set I just got came with 4 ramekins and the torch. The ramekins are perfect for single portions. I love having them. They are great for individual portions of mac and cheese, lasagna, soup, and so much more.
