Sleep Over Games- M.A.S.H. & Fortune Tellers -Pilot Pen's B2P

When it comes to Sleep Over Must Haves, what about games and entertainment? For older girls, it's all about the fun and common interests. Laughing, having fun, and staying up too late.

With bigger kids, communication is definitely better and the interaction is key. They want to play games like MASH, Paper Fortune Tellers, Twister, and the dreaded Truth or Dare. These are all super fun games, I have played them all growing up and made some really awesome friends. One game I loved to play with my sister and her friends was Girl Talk. I have looked everywhere and I am sad thinking it must not be in production anymore. To any 80's kit, do you remember the red sticker zits, the penalty for missing a question? HAHAHAHA

I remember my first zit question. Name a famous person with your name. I said, Amy Locklear. Everyone busted out laughing. My sister's name was Heather so I told everyone she must have a sister named Amy! We laughed so hard!! I got the zit, I was wrong. There was no option to google the answer back then. You either knew it or didn't.

Twister is the fun one that you spin the arrow and you have to do what the card says. Moving one body part to another dot on the mat while doing your very best to stay standing because everyone else is also trying to hold their position on the mat.

Truth or Dare got me in trouble more times than once. I was 14 when I went streaking at 2 am in the snow. So happy it was my sister that caught us and not my mom. I had to do extra chores to get her to keep her mouth shut. It was well worth it.

The pen and paper games are really fun. Two of the most fun are fortune tellers and MASH.

MASH was one we played over and over for years. The mansion, Apartment, Shack, or House. It's the fortune teller for kids. Every category has 4 entries.

The list can go on forever as long as you have four answers for each category. None of these answers are personal answers. I an just using them as ideas.

Then the fortune teller starts the swirl, when the player says stop, the fortune teller counts the rings that the swirl made. Use that number to go down the list. Staring with one, until you reach your numbers mark that line out. Continue that until there is only one answer for each category. That predicts the future for the player.

The Paper Fortune Tellers

Paper fortune tellers are really cool too. It's folded paper that can be moved north and south, open and close. They can be set up a million different ways.

The basic set up is take a piece of paper and cut it down to a square. Fold the corners to the center. Flip the paper over and fold the corners to the center again.

The four exposed edges had colors written on them. The inside flaps had numbers written on them, the number you pick has a fortune written in the

We always made sure we used a pen so there was no cheating involved. A good pen is always appreciated. I just got the B2P (Bottle 2 Pen) Colors by Pilot. They have vibrant inks and are 100% refillable so you can help write the next chapter for a cleaner planet. The pack I got has Purple, Turquoise, Green, Pink, and Lime. It's a nice assortment. They are available on Amazon.

Pilot Pen's B2P is the world's FIRST pen made out of recycled water bottles. B2P Gel ink pens and B2P Ball Point pens are made from 89% and 83% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles respectively. Roughly one water bottle makes two B2P pens. I think I have pulled enough water bottles out from in between my cushions of the couch and under it to make a whole case of these awesome pens!

I am here to tell you, kids come up with the craziest stuff when you get a group of them together. I remember one sleepover that my sister was having a roller skating party the next day. It was going to be a blast. One of the older girls was a cheerleader, to us nonexistent members of school society, we had no idea what she was talking about (again, a nice place to have google) so she must have been right.

She said, if we ice our legs down, they won't be so sore the next day. We could skate for hours because our legs would be numb. Yes, 15 hours later, our legs would still be numb. So there we were 10 or more little girls in the kitchen with my moms' ice cube trays and washcloths making puddles everywhere. One ice cube at a time, we did it. It didn't matter if it worked. I'm pretty sure over half of us had injuries that should have required medical advice but admitting the ice didn't work and we were hurt meant we didn't trust her extensive 9-year-old knowledge of muscle therapy.

What are some of your outrageous sleepover stories? Did you talk anyone into doing anything crazy? Did you have more games that you played? What were your favorite games from sleepovers?

I look forward to hearing your stories!!
