Mothers Day is right around the corner and there is still so much to do. I am so happy my girls are getting bigger and they do their own shopping. I am so excited, I have gifts from them that I don't know what they are. I think it's so sweet when they use their own ideas to come up with something so special. We really are in this together.

I know as a mom, I feel like I remember everything. I know I am expected to anyway. To be honest, I smile, nod, and say "Oh Yeah" a lot. A special way to preserve those moments is a composition book to create a journal for Mom.

Making the arts and crafts for Mothers Day

Container

Any container for the bouquets are adorable you can use anything that has a wide opening. I like the clear containers best because I can see the filler and it can easily be used to coordinate any desk area. It's super functional and super cute!

Recommendation- mug,  short vase, basket, or fish bowl.

Filler

Filling the container about 2/3 of the way full to support the pens is the fun part. You can kick creativity up a notch with this one. Color coordinating or just getting excentric with it- Go with your heart on it, it's for Mom!!

Recommendation- Marbles, gravel, styrofoam (crafting/flower section), candy (individually wrapped), or anything that will allow the pens to slide in and out easy.


Decorations

Jazzing up the gift will just make it cuter. The detail will depend on the skill level of the creator of course just remember, this is a gift, not a chore so, just keep it fun for the kids and yourself.

Recommendation
