We recently teamed up with our friends over at Tasty Kake on the limited edition summer flavors. I am so excited to add them to our family road trips. There is nothing like the taste of homemade in a convenient package! You can check out the Tasty Kake catalog to see some of the year-round goodies they offer.
It's like a family tradition to start the day with a bag of donuts. When I was little, every time we went on a road trip, my mom would get us the little packs of powder sugar donuts. Yes, I carry that tradition on. This summer, we got the Birthday cake Tastee Kakes and the Blueberry Tasty Kake Mini Donuts. The kids favorite is the birthday cake, my favorite is the blueberry.
Sorry for the blurry picture, we were riding down NC 294, that's not a great road for getting clear pictures inside the car. If you are looking for a cool place to stop along that road there is a place called Feilds of the Wood. It has the 10 commandments written in marble up a whole mountainside. It's definitely a point of interest.
Other snacks we had on the trip were Tasty Kake Banana Creme Pies, these taste just like homemade banana creme pies. That was a pleasant surprise. These guys love banana pudding. They come in the paper-like wrappers with the super good crust, yummy.
The Tasty Kake Blueberry Sweet Rolls are another favorite of mine. We saved those for the motel snacks. These delicious swirls are easy to separate and packed 6 in a box. If we don't get to them all at once, we can close the box and save them for later.
I love working with Tasty Kake. They have the awesome year-round treats as well as the seasonal snacks that I look forward to every year.
