Finding Out What Works Best For Me - Hollywood Style Vanity

Beauty products are always fun to review. There is nothing like being able to try new things to see what might work with your face and hair. I see it every day in my girls and also in myself. I am nearing a new stage of adulthood. I'm settled in it, I know what I'm doing in my career, my kids are old enough to get themselves dressed. I am at a point where ai am learning myself all over again. It's like a stage of self-discovery. It's fun but very trying at times.

My skin isn't the same as it was the first time around. I spent a decade and a half not needing a primer or any heavy foundations. I've been noticing the lines around my eyes and the circles, ugh the circles!

So, in this new stage of self-discovery, I have been spoiling myself more and more on products. New makeup and hair colors. I have been feeling a little frustrated with the extra weight I have accumulated but, I am working on that separately.

With my new haircut, I tried a new color which means different makeups. With the new makeups and new techniques, I needed a new mirror to go with it. You would not believe the way your skin changes so fast. All of you in your 20's & 30's, be nice to yourself. Love the beautiful skin you have.

I'm not downing aging by any means, I am enjoying the fruits of my labor. I see the beautiful young ladies I have been so blessed to raise and the relationships I have made, I am blessed but, for me, I need something new, something more my age.

So, all of that being said. My new cut and colors in hand, my one tool that I need to apply all of my new stuff, my mirror. I have the flip mirrors with magnification and other ones with lights but, I wanted something a little more glamorous. I'm past the age of getting my make up on in the rearview mirror.

I went to town and got a 16X16 mirror that I can hang up. I got these super awesome Hollywood style lights to go on there and I am ready. For you to make the same thing I am, you can get whatever size mirror you would like. The lights adjust so I can put them on any mirror. I'll show you how in the video. It's pretty cool really. I haven't had any lights like this before.

I have always wanted to have one of those vanity setups that have the big mirror with the lights on it but, I never had a place with that much space. Now, I will have one!

How I Set Up My Hollywood Style Mirror

I already mentioned getting the 16X16 mirror at the store. It is just a plain thin framed mirror with the wall hook already attached. It was only $4. It was new but still a little smudgy from handling so I used my lens cleaner wipes for my glasses to get all of the dust and fingerprints off of it.

The double-sided stickers to the bottom of the bulbs. When I had my locations mapped out, I stuck the bulbs to the mirror.

When I put mine on, I started in the corner and worked my way around.

I used 4 on each side. except for the bottom, that just had the two in the corners.

The string twists up into the base of the bulbs to give your new vanity a clean look.

This is such an awesome project and doesn't take a long time to turn a hanging mirror into a pretty vanity for your perfect space.

What do you think? Where would you use an awesome Hollywood style vanity?
