Why should you go on a holiday in India?

Summer is right around the corner. And everyone wants to relax during the summer and escape the scorching temperatures in the city. Maybe do something adventurous, or perhaps travel a part of the world that you’ve never thought of.

Well, going to India combines both of those ideas. It gives travelers the opportunity to have the adventure of a lifetime. It has the largest population of vegetarians in the world, and it’s also the home of Freddie Mercury. It also has beautiful scenery and delicious food. So, what other reasons are there to go on a holiday with India Someday?

The most famous building in the entire world

The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. There aren’t words that could describe its beauty. It stands as a vivid example of true love that will never be forgotten or replaced. The story behind it is as beautiful as the monument itself. Click here to read more about it.

Shah Jahan was the son of the emperor of India. One day, he was walking with his courtiers, and he saw the most beautiful girl in the world, hawking silk and glass beads. The moment he saw her, he knew that this was true love. She was a Muslim Persian princess, and he was the emperor's son. He was 14, and she was 15. Immediately after he saw her, Shah went to her father and told him that he wanted to marry her. And, after five years, the dream wedding happened.

They lived happily. It was a dream life, the one we see in movies. Shah bestowed his wife the title of Mumtaz Mahal, which means the Jewel of the Palace. But, sadly, she died at childbirth while carrying his 14th child. Shah was broken and promised her that he will never remarry and build her the symbol of love that we now know as Taj Mahal.

The food is simply mesmerizing

If you’ve ever come into contact with Indian culture, it’s probably through the menu. They have a wide variety of spices and dishes that make an explosion in your mouth. Many culinary experts have said that these native foods and meals are the most wholesome in the world. And, there are many reasons for that.

First of all, the human body needs a variety of nutrients to function correctly. By mixing a lot of spices, Indian cuisine adheres to every need of the body. Each particular grain or vegetable is linked to a health benefit. We’ll take the most popular one as an example. Curry, when cooked with the right ingredients is good for immunity, and it reduces inflammation. If you add tomatoes, garlic, onions, turmeric, and black pepper, you get a health bomb that tastes better than anything money can buy.

It’s cheap

You’d be surprised by just how much things you could do with a little bit of money. According to The World Economic Forum, India is at the tenth place for price competitiveness. This means that staying in luxurious hotels, eating out, shopping, and traveling will be surprisingly cheap. Also, this gives you the opportunity to do everything you like without worrying about money.

You’ll feel like money isn’t an object because you’d be spending so little and having so much fun in return. An entire day can pass by filled with activities, eating and shopping, and you would have spent only a few dollars. It might seem like a dream, but it’s surprisingly real.

It can be a spiritual experience

There is a city called Rishikesh. Thanks to the Beatles, this small mountain town has gained a lot of popularity. Now, it’s called the yoga capital of the world. It gives tourists the opportunity to find their inner selves. It provides a way of spiritually connecting with nature and the mysticism that fills the air.

Apart from that, there is also Dharamshala. This is the abode of the Dalai Lama. It gives tourists the opportunity to spend some time in breathtaking hills. Some monasteries and temples are enchanting to look at. You could spend your time by meditating and staying in the Namgyal Monastery. Or, you could go for walks in the nearby tea plantations and go for a few boat rides in the Dal Lake. The best way to visit these places is to leave room for unexpected experiences. The natural wonders

There is a myriad of places to visit. Many people choose to explore the natural beauties that India has to offer. There are mighty mountains that seduce people to climb them. The most prominent peak in the world, Mount Everest, lies in the Himalayas. This mountain range continues in India as well. Magnificent lakes and perfect weather are additions to the experience.

Apart from the mountains, there is also rich flora and fauna to be seen. Lush green meadows and brimming waterfalls are only some of the myriad other things that this fantastic country has to offer. It is also a home of a lot of endangered species, and it’s rich with wildlife reserves. The most notable animal is undoubtedly the Royal Bengal Tiger. Seeing that there are currently over fifty tiger reserves, it’s only normal that this is the first animal that comes to mind.

Of course, there are many others. Elephants, deer, cows, lions, and leopards are only some among many. Indian people love animals, and that’s why their entire country is filled with so many different species. In a way, this represents their whole culture. Diversity is the thing that unites them. From the many different species of animals, the different spices, and the various religions comes fantasy. It’s a wonderful place on earth that gives the word vacation a whole new meaning.
