What To Give The Person Who Has Everything

We all have a friend that is notoriously difficult to buy for. Either they have a bank balance that allows them to buy whatever they want, or they are the type of person that simply doesn’t want much. Either way, there is still a range of goodies that you can get them.

Pet Lovers

If they are a pet lover, then the chances are you can get them a few things that they can enjoy with their furry friend. Often people will just buy for the person, but animals are a big part of their lives. Custom dog shirts, art prints with their pooch on, or maybe even handmade animal snacks. Toys are another thing that you can make, for dogs you can simply plait some old t-shirts together, or wrap a thick rope into a ball. For cats, you can string corks, bells and feather on to a piece of sturdy string and create something petty fun.

Hippie Hearts

The free spirits don’t always believe in buying things, and certainly, nothing that isn’t eco-friendly. Source ethical products that give something back to the environment. A great option is to do something like adopting a goat or cattle for countries that struggle with high poverty levels. Some programmes also support the education of village children too. This is the perfect way to give them something, that isn’t directly for them - but does good out in the world.

We all have a friend who seems to be in the air, sea or sand more than they are in their own bed. For people like this, the only thing you can do is find them an adventure. Luckily, they don’t have to be jet setting to enjoy something unique. City stay-cations are great - provided that you have also done some research on what the area has to offer. It is also worth having a casual chat about things that they want to see or experience in their country of residence.

Book Worms

An avid reader isn’t difficult to please, because they probably have a genre that they have fallen in love with, and you know that a pile of books - or a voucher for their ebook reader is perfect. But, try and find signings and readings from their ideal author. Another option in the same vein would be to find a course for writing, or pick up some books with prompted activities so that they can begin on their own best seller.

When it comes to giving the perfect gift a lot of it is not about how much the gift cost, but the thought that went into making sure that it was tailored to that person. Anyone can give a gift voucher, but not everyone can plan an adventure, or spark the fire for someone's first novel. So, next time you have a birthday or other gift giving occasion coming up, spend some time putting the perfect thing together - for the person who has everything, show them you know them.

  1. These are fantastic ideas, thank you so much for sharing! I personally love receiving a gift card so I can pick out what I want, that is always fun! :)

  2. These are all great ideas. I have a few people that are super hard to buy for.

  3. I love the idea of giving goats or cows to those in need. I've seen programs/charities that do that and it seems like such a good way to help a family for years!

  4. I have a lot of book worm friends. The gift of an author signing is a brilliant idea. I am going to look for some now.
