There are so many different types of music on Soundcloud, from brand new music from unknowns to music from the already famous. It is simple enough to use, and you can type in a genre and scoot through a list of tracks until you find what you are looking for. You will have to sign up for a free account, and if you don’t want to listen to the ads, you’ll need to upgrade.

Apple Music has a great For You. It works on what you already listen to, and what other people who listen to as and find tracks that will fit into a similar category. Of course, some of the music won’t be new to you, but you might find some oldies that you had forgotten how much you loved. You can also create genius playlists based on a single song. The same kind of idea except rather than simply showing you a selection of songs, it will create a full playlist for you.

There are so many top music blogs, they have their finger on the pulse when it comes to new releases, bands to watch and other music news too. The reason music blogs are so great is that they aren’t a paid service you are getting their real opinion and open they will also give you details on the band like live shows and album reviews. Great when you are just getting into a particular band and want to find out more about them.

This platform is great because you can buy music directly from the artists and you know the money is going into their pocket. You’ll find many independent artists here, and you can listen to tracks before you purchase them. There aren’t many genres of music that you won’t find on here, and you can search through artist-recommended, featured artists, and fan spotlights too. It is super easy to use, as well.

Mixcloud is a pretty neat platform, it is based on the idea of rethinking the radio by providing users with collections of DJ mixes and radio shows across all genres. You will mostly find electronic here, but if you are looking for music, then nothing is off-limits. You can also listen to an artist’s live performances too.
