Kitchenwares are something the whole family loves. Do you have special memories from being a kid at grama's and the dishes are things that stick out in your mind? I have so many memories from the kitchen. I think part of that is why I am the person I am today. In our family, every celebrating moment was done with food.

I remember these specific mugs my great grama Velma had. They were out at every occasion and they became my favorite. I think they might have been soup mugs but they were used for everything. Pudding, coffee, cereal, soda, strawberries, spaghetti-o's, cookies and milk, you name it, these were used for everything!



They were soft yellow ceramic on the outside with a white inside and bottom. They had a hoop handle on one side. A few of them were loved more than others and had chips on the rim and the handles glued back on. My grama Velma was amazing and could fix anything. I remember her sharpening her knives on the bottom of the mugs. They really were all-purpose.

They do hold heat while microwaving. Although they are perfectly safe for the microwave, be careful when getting them out.
