The Battle For The White House Is A Game of Chess

I'm not one to share my political views with anyone. Seriously, I don't even discuss it with family or friends. Believe me, my opinions are not making their public debut in this post either :) But, when I have the opportunity to share something absolutely amazing with all of you, I'm going to do my best to do it!

Seeing the unity our American population is lacking, why not try to bring everyone together to enjoy something. No matter what your beliefs are on politics, you can play a game of Chess!

Unfortunately for me, I have never learned how to play Chess. I have always been more of a fast game player like cards and other board games. I think it's time that I have to learn, just because of this particular set!

I had no idea just how popular Chess really is. Worldwide the game of chess has about 600 million fans. That's HUGE! That makes it the most popular game or sport, worldwide. In the US, Chess claims 35-40 million players. While it's not an equal opinion, 81% of people believe it's strategic thinking and 43% feel it's intelligence. What do you think, strategic or intelligence?

So, the combination of these two powerhouses is what made this post a possibility. The amazing game of chess and our American leaders. The 2020 Battle For The White House Chess Set.

They even thought of the election coming up. This set comes with Empty Podium pieces for the president and vice president-elect so that the game can be played any time but after the election, it will have the correct pieces. The final nominee pieces will be available after October 1, 2020. Go to to complete your set.

I find this so cool, check out the video about the set.

What comes in the box?

1 Game Board
32 Game Pieces

The playing board is a super sturdy, foldable cardboard. It's beautifully colored with our American flag colors, Red, White, and Blue. The checkerboard pattern is red and white on one side and red and blue on the other.

It fits perfectly in the box with the game pieces. Everything has a place in the box so there are no wandering pieces.  Since each piece has a place holder it makes it easy to identify if there is a piece missing right away. All of you know how convenient that is. Nearly every board game we own has a baggie of game pieces in it so they don't fall out when we move the boxes around.

I have never met a person that enjoys stepping on a Lego, pointy motel, marble, dice, or metal labradoodle. The people over at 2020 Battle For The White House and Bulb Head know how important of a feature this really is.

The 32 game pieces included in this set are:

The Democratic party in blue:

Pawns- Donkey Mascot
Rook- Obama
Knight- Schumer
Bishop- Sotomayor
King- Presidential Nominee- Empty Podium
Queen- Presidential Nominee- Empty Podium
Bishop- Bader Ginsburg
Knight- Pelosi
Rook- Biden

The Republican party in red:

Pawns- Elephant Mascot
Rook- Bush
Knight- McConnell
Bishop- Roberts
King- Trump
Queen- Pence
Bishop- Kavanaugh
Knight- McCarthy
Rook- Cheney

All of the game pieces have so much detail on them. Not only do they have physical characteristics of the piece they are named after but the faces are tiny replicas. They did a great job capturing the personality of each representative whether it be by facial expression, hand gesture, or even the way they stand or sit and cross their legs. They did a great job putting this collection together!

I love the pawns. The political mascots have been around since the early and mid-1800s. I wasn't aware of that until I just looked it up.  The adorable Donkey and Elephant. The election is just like a circus, isn't it? This would be a great place for some ill-used emoji's.

Something I really like about the game pieces is that every piece has the name of the representative right on the pice like a plaque. Each piece also has a picture of the piece it represents.

The pieces to the Chess game include a King, a Queen, 2 Knights, 2 Bishops, 2 Rooks, and 8 Pawns per team.

The instructions included with the game show exactly how to set it up by the name of the representative as well as the piece value symbol. This is the perfect set for beginners to experts.

If you are looking for a fun, educational, and historical way to play the game of Chess, this is the way to do it! Check out the 2020 Battle For The White House Chess Set.
