Adventerra Games Are A Blast For Family Game Night And Learning About The Environment

We have learned so much about our families in the past few months. My position as a parent, I hope the closeness stays after the pandemic goes away. I know I am only speaking for my family but the chaos that was going on in our lives with the day to day schedules, staying safe, and staying home has been a blessing in disguise. We have spent so much quality time AND quantity time together which is awesome because it's a rarity to have both.

We have had the opportunity to work with Adventerra Games on a review of 3 of their board games the whole family can play and the kids (7+) can play unguided once they get the hang of it!! In this post, I want to walk you through what to expect with these awesome games and how you can make a family game night and every "in the house day" a blast.

Board games are so much fun. When we were kids we always got them out on rainy days when we couldn't go out and play and on stormy days when we lost power. I learned some of the most fun games during the blizzard of '93.

I love it that Adventerra Games uses real life to base their games on. They offer educational points for each game. It's nice to see such valuable points in the games themselves so it doesn't feel like learning. I always felt like the best way to learn is through fun. When kids can play and learn about the environment it plants a seed early in life about being more conscious of the world, in my opinion.

I want to share one quick story with all of you and then you will understand why I think games like this are so important.

Picture this, my sister age 7 and myself age 5 with my great grama Velma, walking for what felt like forever looking for these great finds on garage sale day. It was the mid 80's in Illinois. My grama had a magic purse and it always had great snacks, mints, gum, and money it, she was so cool. Anyway, my little kid hands were clumsy and I was always dropping stuff. Out of nowhere my sister with her worldly knowledge, scolds me and told me every time I litter an inch of earth goes away and if I didn't knock it off I would have nothing to stand on when I grow up. That was all I needed to make me not litter. I was horrified to drop anything and not pick it right up. I told everyone that would listen, not just that day either. That was one of those things that stuck with me for a long time. It wasn't until years later in elementary school that I learned that she was wrong.

Ok, I can ramble on about my opinion on the environment and how important it is for kids to learn at an early age, forever but, that won't tell you how the games are.

On that note, Bravo, Adventerra Games for making it fun to learn and teaching educational material.
