Blood Pressure Monitoring At Home With Sinocare #sinocareofficial #bloodpressuremonitor #upperarm #digital

So many things in our lives have changed since the shelter in place orders hit in March. Being able to do what we want,w we want has been dampened down to only go for essential reasons. Groceries, doctor visits, and pharmacy are the only real exceptions.

Even doctor visits have been set to a different priority. Not feeling well or just a regular follow up has been put on the back burner. It has nothing to do with not caring it has to do with balancing out the factors.  The big question, is what I want to do worth risking my family or myself with COVID19?

For the most part, it has been no.

We just waited for a clear and safest point. For us, one thing that made our decisions easier is being able to monitor ourselves at home. Considering the health issues we deal with on a regular basis in our family, we have everything to monitor it ourselves to make sure we are all as healthy as possible.

We have all of the basics for first aid and monitoring our health like a first aid kit, thermometer, blood pressure monitor, blood glucose monitor, heating pads, ice packs, nebulizer, and more. We take our health very seriously. By being able to monitor ourselves at home, we are able to determine (confidently) if we need to make a trip to the doctor's office.

We are all pretty healthy except for Aron's conditions that are controlled with diet and medication. He has high blood pressure and diabetes so we have to keep a close eye on those at all times. Our friends over at Sinocare sent us an Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use. This is perfect to have right when we need it.

The one thing that stands out for this monitor is it actually reaches around the upper arm. Aron has large biceps and finding an at-home monitor has been a rough stretch. We have been relying on the wrist monitor that he's had for a few years and we are always afraid it won't give an accurate reading because his wrists are large too.

I want to tell you all about our new home tool!

What comes in the box?

Monitor
4 AA Batteries
Adjustable Cuff
Operation instructions (not pictured)

It is preprogrammed so it's as easy as turn it on and use it.

I want to start with the instructions. Everything in the leaflet is full of step by step instructions on how to use the device. I think I am speaking for everyone when I say- Thank you Sinocare for taking the time to make sure the health information is conveniently written right with the instructions.

When Aron was first diagnosed with high blood pressure he was going through so many other health-related issues that it was a lot to take in. My brain was on constant overload and I had to write everything down. There was so much coming at us from all directions that I cried, a lot! Between our family doctor, the hospital doctors, and the specialists, I was overwhelmed. It felt like my memory was shot. I had notebooks that I brought with us all of the time so I could write down what he ate, how his glucose levels were, and what his blood pressure was. It was a lot. Here was this big strong healthy guy in such a weak and vulnerable place. The person I looked to for strength and guidance was fragile and sickly. I had to do everything I could to help him get back to better.

He is a tough guy and back to normal now. It's been about 12 years since his diagnosis so I feel like an at-home health professional now. But when all of this came up, the information in this instruction manual would have been a blessing.

In the instructions, it explains how the numbers are calculated, what the numbers mean, and even a chart to show if you are in a good or danger zone.

Along with monitoring blood pressure, this machine is equipped to save the measurements. It has a memory function too. You can easily erase the memory by pushing the button and holding it for longer than three seconds.

Checking your blood pressure at home

Checking your blood pressure at home is a great way to be on top of your own health. Using the  Sinocare Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use is very simple, fast, and accurate.

Sit and rest for 5-10 minutes before checking your blood pressure to ensure an accurate reading.
When you apply the cuff, rest your arm on the table and make sure your cuff is at the same level as your heart. Place both feet on the floor. Do not cross your legs or prop them up on anything, this may give you an inaccurate reading.

Push the button on the base and the machine will do all of the work. When it is done with the reading, the numbers come up on the LCD display.

If you are looking for an easy to use and very reliable blood pressure monitor to do readings at home, the  Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use from Sinocare is a must-have.
