Marc Zboch Made The "Marc Thomas" Let's Try It, and Other Tea Recipes




Have you ever wanted to try something new but you weren't quite sure where to find a good recipe? What about trying to consume something that will be helpful to your body and happy to your taste buds? Maybe you want to try something new that reminds you of something old? Flavors do have a direct connection to our emotions and memory bank. Now that the weather is turning cooler and there is this comfort of warm beverages, I found two that I think you should try out. It has more benefits than you would think too.

This is for my drinking tea buddies. If you aren't a tea drinker yet, you should at least try it twice to see if it's for you.

I got this easy recipe off of Marc Zboch, How to make a Marc Thomas.

1 tea bag or 2 tsp of a proper black tea, preferably Darjeeling
200ml/6.7oz of filtered water
3 dashes of bitters

  • Bring the water to a boil, then let it sit for one minute, allowing the temperature to drop to 96 degrees Centigrade or 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Steep the tea for 4 minutes.
  • Then add three dashes of bitters

This is an amazing and simple recipe that has so many health benefits. Darjeeling tea is a black tea and considered to be one of the finest in the world. Some of the health benefits of Darjeeling tea are listed below.
  • Antioxidant activity and boosting the immune system. The antioxidative activity in black tea comes from thearubigins and theaflavins.

  • Improving bone density
Take all of that goodness and mix it with the health benefits of adding the bitters. Bitters can facilitate stomach acid and act as a digestive aid. This can not only ease indigestion, but also heartburn, nausea, cramping, bloating, and gas.

Are you looking for something a little sweeter? Maybe a little bit more like a treat? This Vanilla Tea Recipe will have you hugging your cup with both hands.
Vanilla Tea

1 cup boiling water
1 orange pekoe tea bag
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon white sugar (Optional)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pour boiling water into a mug. Steep tea bag in water for 3 minutes; remove and discard.
  • Stir milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon into the tea.

Drinking tea is soothing for the body. It is scientifically proven to reduce the harmful effects of stress. Even the activity of sipping a warm cup of tea encourages you to take a few minutes out of your day to focus on yourself.

It's amazing that just a few minutes every day to focus on yourself has so many great health benefits all in itself. Being overly stressed can reduce productivity and increase anxiety. It's not hard to run all day getting things done and not give yourself that pat on the back that you most definitely deserve. Taking those few minutes to focus on yourself and get in a healthy routine, is proven to help reduce anxiety and increase productivity, who doesn't need that?
