Handmade Leather Journal Retro Vintage Leather Travel Journal Notebook

Time passes so fast the older we get. I heard that as a kid so many times but, I always took the scientific approach. I mean, 60 seconds is a minute, 60 minutes is an hour, 24 hours is a day, 7 days in a week, 52 weeks in a year, and so on. Time doesn’t ACTUALLY go faster, was my conclusion. Well, I am here to say, I was so wrong! I’m turning 40 years old this year and all I have to say about the last decade is, what the hell was that?!

Maybe it’s because I’ve been busy, maybe because my kids are getting bigger, maybe because I’m getting older and wiser, maybe just maybe it’s only my perception. I don’t know what exactly made it happen but I do honestly feel that time is going by so much faster.

I’m not ready for this acceleration. I do enjoy every second of it. I’ve been telling my kids to enjoy it that it goes by too fast but, they have that same look of confusion that I had. I just want them to take the time to make the memories and don’t wait for the moments to come. Find enjoyment in everything they do. And don’t forget to share the stories.

I had the opportunity to work with the piboshi store on Amazon and I am so happy to share it with you. This is a great way to recap memories with your loved ones.

I have a few decades left of story-making so I don’t want this to sound morbid but I want to write stories from my perspective that my kids will be able to read and share with their kids. Like a diary but not exactly. Like a letter but not quite a letter.

I want them to know I am writing to and for them and sharing my life’s adventures from my point of view, in my handwriting. I know there will come a time when they will want something that I held on to.

I got this idea when we were cleaning out a house. There were boxes of notes and letters that started but never finished and were never sent. They were like recaps of a full life of goings-on. Reading what was more like super messy journaling, that resembled the stories we heard as kids. It was pretty cool to hear past generations of stories. It was a totally different world back then. The stories were in the 1940s-1980's setting. What a life!!

I’ve thought so many times, I would love to write books for each of our kids but that would have me writing and rewriting the same stories, why not make it simple for all of us.

The Handmade Leather Journal is the perfect way to get started. It’s a leather-bound notebook that will preserve the moments that I share with it forever. The leather is extremely sturdy and also pliable to make for easy writing and a comfortable grip.

The exterior is stamped with a beautiful tree and the message "All things are difficult before they get easy". There is no truer statement. With all of the adventures we have been on in the past few years, I feel that statement through and through.

The paper is thick and of great quality. It's perfect for writing or sketching. This would be a great gift idea for anyone.

I received this product for free as a gift to facilitate this review. If you have any questions please feel free to email me directly.
