3 Easy Ways to Update Your Fall Wardrobe

No matter how you may feel about it, fall is on its way. Fall is a great time of year for several reasons, sure, things will get a little colder, but there is so much to look forward to, including Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas just around the corner.

The one thing that we all know about fall is that it is time to dig out your warmer clothes and wave goodbye to some of those summer outfits that you may have worn over the past few months.

If you, like me, have taken a look at your fall wardrobe and not felt inspired, then perhaps it is time to update it and bring in some new pieces?

Buy some lightweight knitwear

While the heavy jumpers, cardigans, and sweatshirts, not to mention big warm coats, like the ones at Triple F.A.T. Goose, are reserved for the winter months, that doesn't mean that you have to ignore the idea of knitwear altogether. It just means that you may need to go a bit lighter in what you wear.

Lightweight knitwear is great for fall because it will keep you just warm enough so you won’t end up being too cold or potentially overheating when it’s not as cool as expected. Not only this but it can be packed away in your bag, ready to put on during the evening when during the day a more summery top has probably been okay.

Keep up the florals

You may think that fall means that you have to get rid of all your beautiful floral patterns and prints. But this doesn't have to be the case; you can keep summer alive by wearing the season’s fashion way into the fall (and even further if you are feeling brave).

One top tip is to keep the colors more fall-like to make florals work within an updated fall wardrobe. Think darker blues, reds, and greens rather than the bright summer colors, and you will feel more like you have entered a new season even if y0ou’re still wearing things from the last.

Invest in a good coat

One thing you will need during the later stages of fall and into the winter is a good coat. Outerwear is often overlooked when it comes to your fall outfits but can actually prove to be hugely crucial in your style.

The type of coat you buy will really depend on your own personal sense of style, but the important thing here is to invest in a good quality one. Not only is it something that you are going to wear every day, but it is also responsible for keeping you dry and warm too.

Fall is an excellent time of year, and we love the fact that it means that we can start to think about any changes that we want to make to our wardrobes. So, why not fully embrace fall where you are and think about how you can look amazing as you walk into this brand new season.
