The Tower Corner Lamp Review

Finding the best method for accent lighting can be very tricky and in some cases expensive and unreliable. Doing research on effectiveness, installation, long-term cost, and a few other factors can be time-consuming. So, let me help by showing you the coolest lamp I have seen in a long time. As a matter of fact, it's the only lamp like this I have ever seen.

I just want to start with, string lights are awesome. All of our kids use the led strip lights in their bedrooms and it's great for several reasons. When I wanted to get my niece and nephew a set for their rooms and I couldn't because the homeowner doesn't allow changing anything. I don't know how I didn't think of that. There must be so many people that can't enjoy colorful lights because they can't hang anything from their walls. This was a real stumper for me. There is a whole market of people out there that needs to be reached!

Moving away from string lights, we were on a mission to find colorful lighting for teens' rooms and lounging areas. With the specifications that it couldn't be hanging lights or light bulbs. Something freestanding that won't take up a lot of space.

Then, out of the blue, we saw the SOKHNA Corner Floor Lamp and went instantly into a fanning hand reaction. THIS IS IT!! After some discussions with the brand, they sent us one for a review. I can say, you will definitely want one (or more) this is AWESOME!

It got here so fast, too! When I got the package it was very lightweight and kind of a short box. I was already impressed, let's see what's inside!

Inside the box, everything was neat and secure. Something I love when it comes to lighting. If you have ever waited for a light to be delivered and it is broken on arrival due to poor packaging, you completely understand. Every piece in the box was snuggly fit into its spongey styrofoam lining. None of the pieces were touching meaning no matter what they went through to get here, all the pieces were safe in their beds.

I just want to say, read the directions when you assemble the lamp. I thought mine was broken when I put it together. I went from room to room looking for different power sources, took the remote apart and checked the batteries, disassembled and reassembled. As a last resort sent an email to the company to see if I had received a defective lamp. I seriously laughed out loud when I read the message.

My message to them was the whole list of troubleshooting that I did. Pictures and even a short video to show what I had going on. What I got back was a message to check the image they attached. It was an image of the middle piece in the wrong direction!! I was so embarrassed!! I assembled the lamp wrong, TWICE!

A HUGE shout out to the very patient and understanding, very fast customer service team. They answered me in minutes, not hours or days like most companies. And had me up and going in no time.

So, when I say pay attention to the directions, just look at the back of the pieces, the arrows (large white arrows) point in the direction of their placement. Everything is so self-explanatory.

How to assemble the SOKHNA Corner Floor Lamp

Remove the pieces from the box.

Inside the box, there are 2 layers of spongey foam with parts nestled inside. Take everything out and set it in front of you.

3 Tower pieces
2 Connection Pieces
Base
5 Screws
Power Cord
Instructions
Screwdriver (yes, they even supplied the tools)

Add in the base first

The bottom of the tower has a small plate attached to it for the base to screw onto. There is no mistaking the base for other pieces. Take the base piece and slide it down the bottom section and it will go right over the plate.

Use 4 of the screws and provided screwdriver to secure the plate to the base. The holes are premade and go right in, there is no guesswork in it at all.

Middle section

This is where I messed up, it's ok to laugh, I was excited and wanted to see the lamp in action.

Take the middle section and add the connection pieces to both ends. The connection pieces are very easy to use. They pop into place to secure them to the lamp sections. The bubble on both sides of the connector pops right into the holes on the lamp sections.

Once the connector pieces are attached to the middle section of the lamp, slide the connection piece into the other lamp sections. Use the arrows as guides.

When the middle section is in place the right way, the top section will pop right on. If by chance you add the middle section upside down like I did, it is a simple fix. Pop the pieces apart, make sure you press the bubble to slide it out of the hole and turn it around.

Turn it on

The provided power cord plugs right into the back at the bottom of the tower. The top of the tower has an on/off button.

Done!

Choose a power source

When you are choosing a power supply for your tower, be sure to use the recommendation listed in the instructions manual.

I just want to say, assembling the lamp was faster than me writing this post. It only takes a few minutes to put together.

We love this light tower! It’s perfect for parties and mood lighting. We used it for our Halloween party and all of the kids love it.

Remote control

The remote control gives you full access to the tower lights ability. It is very fun to play with. For a little while, taking advantage of the holiday, I convinced my nephew that Auntie was magic. I told him I was changing it by pointing. Then, he saw the remote. The prank was fun while it lasted. After that, the remote took the spotlight for the rest of the party. The solid colors along with the beat setting made the kids ooh and ahh in amazement.

What I love about the tower is the variety of light settings. I can switch from solid colors to dancing light colors with the click of a button. I can’t explain it all in words, I will have to share a video for it.
