What started out the mission for this review was my nephew. This time of year we get all kinds of requests from our loved ones. My nephew asked for a VR Headset and to be honest, I was surprised. I had no idea he liked VR so, I did what any Auntie would do, I logged into Amazon and let my fingers do the searching. 

Guess what, VR Headsets aren't all the same, I had NO IDEA there were so many options. He might be upset that he got the one that he did after he sees this review. I thought if I went on Amazon, typed in VR Headset I would get a simple headset result. You know the kind that you put your phone into and it's done. Well, that's what my nephew got but that's not what Auntie got!!! 

I looked to my friends over at GOOVIS for guidance. They have so many awesome headsets to choose from, all with different features that make your VR experience unique and far more impressive than you ever thought possible. When I found out I had the opportunity to work with them to review their Young VR Personal Mobile Cinema, I was so excited to get started. This headset is nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to tell you all about it. I want to make sure I go over everything so you know what to expect while you are deciding which VR headset you are going to get. 

A VR Headset stands for Virtual Reality Headset. It's a head-mounted device that allows you to participate in virtual reality situations. You can play games, participate in simulations, some types of training, or even watch movies in cinema-quality without actually going anywhere except your favorite chair.

 The functions you get will depend on the type of VR Headset you choose. The Goovis Young Personal Cinema is a device that connects to your other devices and you can watch (in theater-quality) anything that is on your screen.

The head strap has a tab on each end with a rounded edge that slides into the slots on the VR unit. 

1. Locate the tabs on the ends of the Head Strap and the Head Support. 

2. Position the tab to slide in the slot at an angle. 

3. Push/slide the tab through the slot until it pops into place.

4. Move to the other side and repeat 1-3.

The head strap is adjustable on both ends to give the wearer maximum comfort while using the GOOVIS Young Personal Cinema. It attaches to the forehead mount instead of the glasses. I love this feature for so many reasons. To me, it's easier for breaks and eye comfort. The glasses flip up when you need to see something else instead of having to adjust and re-adjust the head strap. 

The GOOVIS Young Personal Cinema has the perfect view for everyone! Whether you wear corrective lenses or not, you can still get the perfect view every time. No need to wear your glasses with the headset on. The diopter dial for each side allows you to adjust from +3 to -8. Everyone gets the image they were intended to see. 

For those of you that don't know what a diopter is, it's an adjustable dial that allows you to customize the viewfinder so that you can see a clear, focused image inside the viewfinder without using eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct your vision.

Eye strain from looking at screens for a prolonged amount of time can be more than annoying. This headset lowers your exposure to shortwave blue light with its twin M-OLED displays. That means you don't get tired eyes after watching for as long as you want! Another great feature is the face cushion that stops light leakage. 

While I'm on the topic of the view, it has an AMAZING output!  It has two 1920*1080 M-OLED displays that make it look like I really am in a theater watching an 800-inch screen without all of the distractions of people walking through for concession runs or potty breaks and no strangers taking phone calls in the middle of all of the intense parts. This is a PERSONAL home theater that is made for the wearer to relax and watch a movie, a series, or anything for that matter. The picture is brilliant and the colors are so clear! It's such a realistic watching experience. You can get the whole movie theater experience while social distancing in your own space! 

Just so you understand how great of an image you are looking at, the GOOVIS Mobile Personal Cinema provides a 9 times denser image than the Apple iPhone 12 Pro display, and 2.1 million (1920*1080) pixels crammed into a 0.49 inch (1.2cm), you will have a much higher, sharper, and smoother image that has more vivid details. Can you imagine that? It's like real-life viewing! 

Just about everything! That's the simple answer. The GOOVIS Young Personal Cinema is suitable for laptops, tablets, drones, Xbox One, consoles, set-top boxes, and more. I have Apple and Android devices as well as a desktop computer and gaming consoles. Every single device I have to connect it to, I can connect it to.
