The first thought of a bike dog leash was: I think I might have tried this with my dachshund when I was 5. I put the loop of TJs leash around my handlebar and the poor little guy was running as fast as his 4-inch legs could go. On the plus side, I wasn't very long-legged myself and didn't go very fast at all. I still had training wheels, probably our only saving grace! I got in a lot of trouble and wasn't allowed to walk TJ by myself anymore.
Fast forward 35 years to the present day and I am completely amazed by the product I just got for a review. It's a real Bike Dog Leash and so much safer for our furry four-legged family members. It attaches to the bike right under the seat and has a safety spring that keeps the leash from tugging the bike. It's pretty awesome. It makes stability easy too. For my review, I will be attaching it to Aron's Wheelchair or scooter to show you just how easy it works and to show you that handicapped accessibility is great.
The GEOMET Dog Leash has a bar that holds the leash out at a safe distance for the dog and for the user. It has a spring that absorbs up to 95% of the dog’s pulling force so the dog and user are safe. It also limits the dog's range so there again, another safety for the dog and user.

Attaching the Bike Dog Leash:
Make sure you read over the instructions before getting started. Decide on which side you want your dog to walk on and assemble accordingly. This is a universal mount so you can use it on the left or right side and its compact design will allow you to use two at a time to walk two dogs at once if you would like to.
Attach the GEOMET Dog Leash to the cylinder tube under the seat. Make sure the rubber piece is inside the attachment to protect your bike or tube. Fasten it securely for the safety of you and your pet. The tool is provided to make sure you get a good tight fastening.
Attach the spring by rotating the spring to the rod body to wedge the spring to the end. The rotating motion will secure the rod in place.
Attach the bar to the mount bracket and insert the pin to hold it securely in place.
DONE!!
This was so easy to put together. It didn't even take 5 minutes to securely attach to the wheelchair. The spring is crazy strong. I was tugging it as fast and hard and it didn't even move his chair. The spring is so strong! Even though the spring is super strong, it doesn't have a recoil that snaps, it's a smooth transition. This is just perfect for every occasion.
