Creating A Simple Wellness Plan

There are very few things in life that don’t become easier when there is a plan in place for reaching the goal. The same can be applied to your wellness. We are all aware of the stress that modern life has put us under. And, with all of those demands, there can be so little time left over for you (or we use our ‘free time’ badly). So this is where some careful planning can come into play.

Relaxing and finding time to be calm and relaxed is essential for your body, mind, and mental health. It can increase your energy levels and productivity.

So let’s create a wellness plan.

Planner

If you already keep a planner, then you will be well aware of where you have time in your schedule for some R&R. Just like you’d book in work appointments, school meetings, and everything else - book in your time.

If you don’t have a planner, then this might be the perfect excuse to buy one. Try to make sure that you get one with a monthly planner view. This typically makes planning things easier and quicker.

Look at home many hours you have available per day, then add everything you want to achieve that day.

Here are some for you to consider adding to your plan:

Creative

If you are forever saving tutorials or talking about a hobby you want to take up, then book in the time to try it out. Hobbies are proven to make us happier, and the more we do them, the happier we get. Spend some time gathering or order the supplies you need then book in a few hours to get started.

If you aren’t sure what you can do, then painting is a great option. Try the Dutch pour method. Even if it looks like it is going wrong, it can turn into a work of art.
Supplements

Almost everyone is deficient in several minerals and vitamins. So the chances are you should be adding a daily reminder to take your supplements. A couple of supplements that you should consider are:

  • Cod liver oil, or the vegan alternatives flax seed and chia seed or DHA-EPA from algae
  • CBD, to help with sleep, relaxation and inflammation (and more) check out ezcbdwholesale.com for a range of options
  • Magnesium for your metabolism and improved digestion
  • Vitamin D
  • Iron

If you take a multivitamin already, check the amount of each vitamin and mineral - see if they are the right daily dose for the maximum benefit.

Sleep

This shouldn’t be something you are scheduling in, but you might need to. Well, actually, look at some space for getting an early night. Make a commitment to ditch the phone, snuggle down and read or listen to some calming music. You can’t get missed sleep back, but you can get extra rest.

Fresh Air

If you are pretty active, then you won’t need to add extra in, but if you aren’t getting out for a walk once a week, then it is time to change. Commit to getting at least one walk a week that is longer than 30 minutes.

Add other things in that you want or need in order to be happy and relaxed too.

“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” — Eleanor Brown
