Beautiful Glass and Stainless Shaker/Grinder Set

Have you ever thought of how many things it takes to fill a house? Take a look around you really quick. It's amazing that ALL of the little things that you are looking at (whether you purchased it or someone else) was once on a shelf somewhere for sale. Some of the things around my house, I don't even remember not having them. I have had some of them for so long. There are so many things that just seem like they grew there. No one remembers who bought it, where it came from if it's a family thing, or what, it's just there and we all use it.

That being said, that's why house warming parties are so amazing! Having a little party so everyone can see your new home and all bring a little gift of a household item, it is so much fun and it saves so much money for the person that just moved in.

My mom's trademark gift is the necessity bundle. She always gets things like a broom, dustpan, mop, dish rack, laundry hamper, dish sponges, foil, and plastic wrap. Those are the kinds of things that seem like they just grew there. Stuff that you don't really think about having they are just always there. But, let me tell you from first-hand experience, it's the last stuff I think about when moving. I am usually more focused on who is going to carry all of the boxes to the rooms they belong in and unpack it all. I think about that so much because it's always me!! UGH! But that's okay, I would complain and feel obligated to redo it if it wasn't me doing it.

Another thing that is greatly overlooked (because it's always there) is the shaker sets. I think the first place I didn't even get a salt and pepper shaker set. I just used the containers. I never thought about it until I was at my mom's house (every time) and it would hit me, Oh yeah, I need a salt and pepper shaker! Even though I had weekly reminders, having dinner at moms so I could wash my laundry, I still forgot every time I went to the store.

Looking at all of the cool designs of shakers, there are so many affordable options now. The set I just got today, inspired this post. It's amazing how one little item can run you through a lifetime of memories.

My great grama used to take me garage saling with her all of the time when I was little. I had a minor obsession with salt and pepper shakers. Everything from little pink pigs with blue hats on, dancing monkies with tails as handles, to crystal shakers with cone-shaped tops, I saw them all!!

Unless you know someone's plans for the theme of the house, room colors, and personal likes/dislikes, it's hard buying a practical themed set of shakers. As a housewarming gift, finding a multi-function set of shakers is the better option.

The set I just got Home EC Stainless Steel Salt and Pepper Grinders from Amazon (Home EC Store). I love them! These shakers have every function that you need they aren't themed so they match every kitchen! They look so sophisticated and they are on sale under $20! That's even better!!

So, what makes the Home EC Stainless Steel shaker set so special?

Extra flavor with a twist

This set is super easy to twist. The twist feature is very important. If your gift recipient has weak hands or arthritis, you will want to make sure the shaker set is easy to operate.

Fill, use, repeat

This refillable set is a synch to fill and refill.

It's all about that base

The bottom of the grinder is blushed glass and beautifully clear. I love the see through shakers because it turns the shaker into an accent piece. I love using different seasons depending on the dishes I'm serving. Using a peppercorn medley with multiple colors of pepper looks so festive. As far as salts go, a pink Himalayan salt pairs perfectly.

Coarse, of course

Everyone has their very own taste preference but with this grinder set, no one is left out. Each piece has 5 levels of coarseness to navigate through. It's so easy to adjust that everyone at the table can have their own special grind and it not slow down dinner down.

If you like this shaker set you can find it on Amazon HERE
