Three Corner Games Are Family Games

When did you learn to play cards? I learned to play cards at a very early age. I loved everything about them. I loved that each card had a purpose and a different value in ranking. My great grampa Leo got me a regular deck of cards that had dots to show for each number, a great way to learn to count I might add. I loved that deck of cards. I learned how to play games like Crazy 8's, Go Fish. Old Maid, Match, and still one of my all time favorites, War. I loved learning how to shuffle and mastered the bridge pretty fast. All of that set a deeply seeded love for all things cards.

When I became a mom, I couldn't wait to teach my kids to play card and table top games. I am here to tell you, there are so many new games out there and so many cool ways to play them other than a standard deck. Hands on game time is (in my opinion) one of the best ways to learn important lessons like taking turns, strategy, and more.

I love working with KidStuff PR, they did their magic to connect us with TREND Enterprises and their six new three corner card games that I am so excited to share with you. They are card games and table top games, all in one triangular set!

sqWATCH Out!™ ($9.99) is a Three Corner™ card game that introduces Bigfoot and his evasive appearances to a new generation. Players as young as 8 years old will invest 45 minutes of strategic thinking to find the truth while out on a virtual hike. Be ready for a snap of a twig or a howl in the distance!

The youngest members of the crew, ages 4 years old and up, will delight in the Gnomes vs Trolls™ ($9.99) card game. This simple yet clever adventure takes about 30 minutes as tricky trolls try to steal treasures from a group of nifty gnomes. Flip a card to find your fate – a gnome, a treasure or a troll.

Introduce children to the magic of travel by train with On Track™ ($9.99). In this game, references to historical engines and terminals are exciting for enthusiasts and novices. The Three Corner™ card game is a race across a scenic landscape where players use strategy and planning to connect track cards from engine to terminal. Whoops! There’s a cow on the tracks. Fun, silliness and some serious competition await everyone at the kitchen table!

Three more games – enCOWnter™, Gemz!™ and Lava Lizards™ -- are packaged as tabletop games that pack up easily into a compact, grab-and-go box. Find them all online. Each game page has information on how to play including a great short videoTREND Enterprises has won three awesome awards for their card games this year.
These games are not like any other that I have seen. They are three corner games that have a strategy that is age-appropriate and fun for the whole family. The time length for each game is a good time span for the age range of the game. Littler guys get sidetracked and lose focus easier than bigger kids do.

Check out the GEMZ! the game, it is for 4+ and is fast-paced and fun from start to finish. I think this is a blast! With 2-4 players, everyone starts with 3 cards. Starting with the youngest player, draw a card to add to your gem. If you draw a command card, follow those instructions for the card.
Moving along, once everyone has a full gem is when the fun kicks into to turbo! The race is on to fill the gem in one solid color first. What makes this fun is there is no holding extra cards. Everyone gets to draw and discard one card at a time until someone wins. The blue gem above (Me, I won :) )was by complete chance. I drew a SWAP at the right moment. Yay!

Every one of the three corner games has it's own set of rules and theme. They are all a blast to play. Check them out at TREND Enterprise and see a video on how to play.

For me, the written instructions are a little bit confusing but, seeing the game moving made it all click together. If you are having trouble with the written instructions, check out the How To Play video's for each game.
