30th Anniversary With BIC #BICFightForYourWrite #SPONSORED

Back to school, here we go with the back packs of supplies, the trendy wish list full of "I know LeAnna will have this, I will need one too, Mom" "I won't have any friends if I don't have one of those, Mom". The wonderful persuasion of my kids. Their social lives forever depend on the trapper keeper, pencil bag, lunch box combo that will make them coolest kid of the grade for sure. My "mom-ing" ability is put to the test EVERY FALL.

When I was a kid I don't remember anything much more than a bag of #2 pencils, pre-sharpened; black, blue, and 1 red ball point BIC pen, and paper. Man, how things have changed. Even though so many things have changed, the BIC standard has not; Amazing quality and dependability.

I am so happy to know that BIC is still just as awesome as it was when I was a kid and just as trusted by the teaches my kids have. The bright colors and cool designs are so exciting

Some of the awesome stuff we have been doing to keep handwriting alive is so easy.

  • Make a diary. Diary's are like personal time capsules that we all need. Reading is so important over summer break, we feel like writing is too. Next week, month, year, or even 20 years from now, it's awesome to look back and reminisce on that one sleep over that no one actually slept, the boy that shared a brief moment of eye contact that gave you butterflies in your tummy the rest of summer break, or even about the day you got grounded and how it wasn't really worth the 2 weekends spent in my room.

  • Home made word search puzzles. It's so much fun to see if anyone can find all of your words in under a minute.

  • Who remembers "Hang Man" or "Mash" Mansion Apartment Shack House or those awesome fortune tellers. None of those games work without good old hand writing and a pencil or pen.
I know age is a sensitive issue for a lot of us but BIC Mechanical Pencils is turning  30 years old this year. Here are the dates to be watching for:
  1. 8/6/15
  2. 8/16/15

  2. It's definitely important to fight for our right to write! If we aren't careful, people will begin to lose writing and spelling skills!
