Never Miss a Notification or Leave Your phone Behind With Ditto

Being a mom is a beautiful thing. I love having girls. Comparing my childhood to theirs is so crazy!! Not even the childhood but situations and reactions. I love it. One of my favorite questions were, "Why can't I have a phone yet? Mom, how old were you when you got your first phone?"

Well, kiddo, I was 18 and moved into my own house and I had a house line hooked up. That was my first phone. I didn't have a cell phone until I was in my mid 20's because no one had a cell phone until I was in my mid-20's. Up until then, we used house phones for everything. That was our message server. It was called an answering machine, not voice mail. We used pay phones. Some of my friends had pagers.

The only way I knew we had a message was to go home and check my machine. HA! That's so crazy compared to technology now. My girls have a phone in their room. They have the freedom to call on it instead of tying up my house phone and it works out great. They both have their own cell phones and other devices. Technology has evolved so much since I was their age.

Abby has a cell but never turns the volume on so when she doesn't notice the message or call, I am left in the dark. Like last night. She had a band competition and was due to back from 12:15 am to 12:45 am. I was sending messages asking about the trip and if they were on schedule. I got no reply. I figured she fell asleep, the bus was loud, the battery was dead, something. So, I thought I should just head out.

I found out after I was already sitting there that they were running about 40 minutes late. That was fun. Waiting in a dark parking lot with 2 10-year-olds and Aron just waiting, after 1am. It was an adventure, to say the least.

What would have made this adventure better? Abby hearing/feeling her phone and answering it to tell us they were running late. So, now, the Ditto. I had the opportunity to work with them on a review of one of their awesomely tiny devices. It really is cool. It vibrates to pass along notification reminders.

It works with so many apps. Texts, messenger, facebook, amazon notifications, eBay notifications. Any kind of notification your phone gets, even an alarm clock or timer, it will vibrate to let you know your phone is going off. It's just a smidge bigger than a US Half Dollar. It can be clipped out of sight or on a band to be worn like a watch. It's a discreet, waterproof, wearable device that allows users to customize how they stay connected without constantly checking their phone.

It's really easy to connect to any smart device. It walks through the process and lets you know what to do next. Selecting continue through the steps until you get the finished button takes no time at all. It's really awesome.

The vibration is strong enough the feel it without being obnoxious or attention getting. It makes life a lot easier by having a pattern vibration. It's completely customizable to the apps that you want notifications from. For instance, Mom is important, give me 5 vibrations, make sure you get it when I am trying to get in touch with you.

The band Ditto comes with is so easy to use. No clasp or buckle, just strong soft velcro. The band is really cool too. It's a blue band and so it is easy to adjust for the perfect fit. It has holes so it breathes nicely and doesn't make my wrist sweat.

If you don't want to wear it as a watch style you can clip to anything. A bra, the top of your pants, a sock, pretty much anything that allows you to feel the vibration for the notifications. One thing that i really love about it is the invisible tether. If the Ditto and the device you're using it with get so far away from each other, it will go off. That's awesome for the constant phone forgetter (Abby).

I received this for free in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. If you have any questions about this product, please feel free to email us directly at [email protected] or [email protected]

  1. What a great idea! I love that my Fitbit offers this feature. But this a great option for those that don't have/want a Fitbit. It allows you to get a little unglued from your phone, which is a great thing!
