I love all of the amazing products we have had the chance to add into our Womb to Walking Gift Guide. The guide has grown so much over the last few weeks and it's still growing. I am so impressed that it turned out the way it has.

Today I am adding in the Aryan & Gin Muslin Swaddle Blankets. These are so cute. They are large sized, 43 x 43. These are such a nice size and not just saddling. These make a nice breastfeeding cover and snuggle blanket for when babies get bigger.

It is pretty east to wrap a baby in a swaddle. Making them nice and cozy. Make sure you don't stretch the little guy out to much. Their little joints are still straightening.

Step 1- Lay the blanket down flat in a diamond shape instead of square. Fold the top tip of the blanket in towards you. About 6 inches or so. A good way for me to estimate is the baby's neck and shoulders. I would make the fold wider then their neck but not as wide as their shoulders.

Step 2- Lay the baby on the blanket, the fold right above the shoulders but below the head.

Step 3- take the corners and fold them in to snuggle. Left corner around the baby's body and tuck behind, the bottom- bring all the way up, over the shoulder and behind the baby, the right corner bring all the way around and tuck into the front fold.

Swaddling a baby is so nice for their little tiny reflexes. When they are born they don't have control of their reflexes yet and it can scare them. I know when my girls were brand new itty bitty babies, they would startle themselves and cry. Swaddling them kept them feeling secure and warm. I had 2 winter babies so it gave me the peace of mind knowing they were extra

The average time of swaddling is 4-6 months. There are so many great resources for new parents out there online, in books, and in the pediatrician's office. Your little one will give you the info you need about how long to swaddle. When their reflexes calm down, that will be a good start.
