I love getting surprise gifts for Aron. He is always so excited, unsuspecting, and shocked. It makes it so much fun when you have a good gift recipient. We just had the opportunity to work with Feriwola on a review of a wooden hand crank music box. I picked out the Godfather theme because it is Aron's favorite movie of all time!!   

Just to start out, these music boxes come in so many different theme song. They even offer different colors of the wood boxes to make the best choice for anyone. The music in the Feriwola collection includes  Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Beauty And The Beast, Island Princess, Davy Jones, The Beatles, Imagine John, Godfather, Jack from pirates, and Angel Love Beautiful.

I chose the godfather theme for Aron. He LOVES the Godfather Saga. He has the box set and it's the only set of movies he has that he won't lend out. I couldn't help it. His face was priceless when he saw it. I don't even know how many times he said: "This is so cool!!".



The box is a simple wooden box made out of birch plywood. It has the words The Godfather laser engraved on the inside top of the box with the puppet and hand image. The outside of the box has a pretty design all over it in the wood. The music box measures WxHxD: 65x55x40mm. It has a pretty notched design at the edges. The lid has notched edges so it has no metal in the frame.

The music crank is small but easy to manage. The handle has a rotating end so it is a continuous wind and steady music. I love it!!  I haven't figured out exactly the pace to keep to make it match the movie but Aron will do it in just a second I am guaranteeing.

The drum has all of the little teeth/notches that hit the comb at the right times to make the song, it's so cool. With my excitement, can you tell, I have ever had a wind-up music box before? I'm so fascinated. I have watched it cranking is so slow to watch the notches on the drum pluck the teeth on the comb. SO cool!!

When it came in the mail, I sat in the car listening to it for about 5 minutes cranking and listening to different speeds. I'm a big kid too. I wasn't done yet but he came outside and I had to stash it.

This is an awesome gift idea for anyone. It's so unique and beautifully designed. The craftsmanship is amazing. I don't know anyone that wouldn't absolutely love a wooden music box like this.
