We have been traveling so much lately and one thing I can tell you for 100% certainty, travel bags are so important. For the longest time, Aron and I shared a bag because we are always together and we never stay gone for more than 2 days. That gives us plenty of room to pack everything we need all in one bag. That isn't always the case, we found out the hard way. Thanks to BB Bags&Backpacks, I don't have to worry about that stress anymore.

A few weeks ago we had a really rough day. We had an appointment and as soon as we got home Aron's mom called to let us know that it was confirmed that she had breast cancer. We knew nothing other than we needed to get our stuff together so we could take off when it was time for her surgery.


Later on that evening my aunt sent a message letting us know that my grampa fell ill and was in the hospital, it was serious. I told them what happened with my mother in law and that we would be there within the next few days. They were happy I was coming in.



We had no idea what to plan for! I woke up in the morning to a message that my grampa didn't make it through the night. It was more serious than we were anticipating. Even if I would have left as soon as I got the message, we wouldn't have even made it halfway before he passed. It's about a 12-hour drive.

We were scheduled to be gone 4 days our bag was not big enough for everything we needed to bring with us. That was a first for us. Considering the family stress, it was more than I wanted to deal with. We were both so distracted trying to get our stuff together to get to Illinois, I'm shocked we made it there without getting lost.

When you are going through more than what you know how to deal with, it's amazing at what can be the little thing that is just "too much". I found that out first hand trying to pack. On top of not being able to find anything appropriate to wear to my grampas memorial, I had nothing big enough to pack it in. That was my "too much" moment and I cried over packing the clothes, sobbing for over an hour. I know it wasn't actually my clothing, packing, or the bag that I was crying about, it was just too much to deal with.

When we got home, with a sigh of relief, I got the bag from BB Bags&Backpacks. We will be traveling back and forth a bunch more while Aron's mom is going through treatments. We are about 12 hours away and plan on going all of the long weekends we can get from the kid's schedule.

I have a new bag just for my stuff and we don't have to worry about space and limiting our items. The bag features everything I would expect in a luxury bag for so much less. I got my bag on Amazon. I chose the BB Duffle Bag with Pockets because it was the right size for what I want and it will fit in our vehicle good.

The features I love about it are the size, pockets, size when empty, easy to handles and padded shoulder strap, and the bonus of all bonuses, the zippered shoe compartment.

So, upon opening, I was excited to see just how much stuff would fit in this bag. Why did I wonder about that?? Because it folds up small. So small in fact that my cat Rocko thought it was a new home  A.K.A. box for him to nap in. Just so you know my opinion, It folds up super small compared to the size of the bag, unfolded.



So, talking about space, I can honestly say, we can use one bag for our trip if we use this one instead of our other on, that I thought was the biggest duffle bag I needed, I was wrong. This duffle bag is definitely roomier, lighter, easy and more comfortable to carry. We can still travel with one bag, as long as we use mine.

There are 2 exterior zipper pockets on the wide side and one on the end. That magical end zippered pocket is the home for your shoes. How nice is that? My shoe dirt will never touch my clothes! You have no idea how satisfying that is to me. I mean really guys, we never know what exactly we are walking on. Germs transfer from surface to surface.
